SANTA DID COME!

We had to wake Paris for Christmas morning but it didn't seem to bother her too much! She was excited to see a snow jacket which meant we were going to the snow! And her fave from her stocking was the MP3 player!

Her one present from Santa...How excited was she!? WAY!

We then had to run off to breakfast my Dad has put on for years!

Probably 40+ friends and family were there, I love this tradition!

Santa Please Come To My House

Oh boy! Paris was so tired and being such a brat Christmas Eve after dinner, when it was time for her to go to bed it was game over for this family! I felt like my mom, having to threatin to cancel christmas! No bribe in the world was working on this kid! I couldn't stand that she was going to bed crying so I told her lets go put cookies out for santa and be a good girl and maybe he will still come! (even though you were the biggest stink in america)

What a great Christmas Eve we had at the DeWitt's this year!
Derek (one of the many brothers) lives in South Carolina and suprised us all!
Brad and Emmy said they had a gift for the family and to come outside
Derek was wrapped in a box in the back of the truck
He jumped out and suprised us all, we almost had
1 heart attack, 1 pre term labor & 1 crying in law!
sadly I didn't get the actual event!

LET IT SNOW....

For my grandma's birthday us girls took her out to dinner (joe's bbq) and to Hales theater to watch a Christmas Carol. I wish we had more pictures of the night but no one remembered their cameras (except grandma & i dont have her pics) these were takin off of faith's mobile phone. After the show they had snow falling as you exited the doors, Rachel and I really wanted to play in the snow and Faith really wanted to take the picture, so with no regards to anyone else who was already playin in the snow (um the little kids) we totally bullied our way into the center of the snow falling and got our pictures!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

The night before J's b-day we ventured out to Tempe and went to Dave and Busters along with 12 other friends. We ate some grub, played LOTS of games and hung out with friends! It was defiantly the right spot for Justin he was totally in his element! Thanks to everyone who came!

Next day we had a family b-day dinner. Joe you made some awesome steaks, J shared your appreciation of not having some sort of chicken! For dessert we had a cookie "b-day cake" Paris and I made! There were 28 cookies! (how many dewitt's does it take to blow out ONE birthday candle!?!?!)

And J's perfect ending to the night...

I SAW THE MOVIE TODAY WITH MY SISTERS AND IT WAS FABULOUS! JUST WHAT I NEEDED (i needed something new since the notebook) COULD HAVE BEEN MADE A LITTLE BETTER, HAVE A LITTLE MORE SCENES FROM THE BOOK, BUT I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT! I EVEN LOVED EDWARD IN THE MOVIE!
GO TEAM EDWARD!!!! WOOT!

I'll admit in the beginning it was constantly telling Paris to get out of brothers face or stop putting your fingers in his mouth (even if it does stop him from crying!) or quit thinking you are as big as mom and dad, trying to pick him up and carrying him around! But now that we have gotten a little more adjusted and she has learned and gotten more comfortable with him she is the BEST HELPER I could ask for. Besides getting me diapers, or wipeys or hunting down a binky or getting me another outfit when he pees on the third one in an hour she also...

she will even get up at night time feedings to hand me a burp rag or binky

(I do tell her not to & to sleep but she just won't have it)

My mom came down from Pine to stay and help me out a little bit while adjusting to J going back to work. Paris was her SHADOW! Would not leave her alone! They had tea parties (mom you will have to send me those pics) they played games, got ready together and watched movies in Paris' room as Paris slept on the floor next to Gma's bed. Paris sure was mad when it was time for Gma to go back home! And every day since has been asking "when are we going to go see Gma?!"Mom THANK YOU for coming down and cleaning my house, playing with Paris and helping me with Tustin! I appreciate it and as much as you feel like you didn't do much it was really helpful and if anything, at least I wasn't lonely! LOVE YOU

Just a Funny Story...

When we were at the hospital Paris, the oh so great and protective sister, came to visit her little brother. I had just fed him and she was standing by my bed and Justin went to burp him...and Paris screams "DON'T CHOKE HIM!" and then starts to cry and hides behind the bed! Could her reaction of been because his face looked like this...?
We did tell her that he was ok and we were just simply trying to get him to burp!

I ENJOYED AND APPRECIATE EVERYONE WHO CAME BY TO VISIT! BEING IN THERE FOR 5 DAYS GOT REALLY BORING AND IT WAS NICE TO SEE DIFFERENT FACES!

SORRY TO THOSE WHO CAME ON THE VERY 1ST DAY, I WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF IT AND NOT ON MY "A" GAME SO PICTURES WERE MINIMAL... But a HUGE THANKS to MELISSA, MOM & DAD DEWITT AND JESSE!

The DESPERATE and HUMILIATING things women have to go through post pregnancy! Not only do we have to deal with being FAT still, being SORE all over, feeling incapable at the most crucial times (example: not being able to get baby out of cradle, not getting out of bed on my own do to major surgery) But having to resort to this....

I thought myself very LUCKY that my perfect baby was able to breast feed with no problem! But than found out (the hard way) that breast feeding was sending me into these aweful fevers (long story) and I ended up having to stop breastfeeding! Very disappointing but HE got a good week in of the good stuff! But now I'm left with a very SORE chest! A nurse had mentioned to me to cut up chilled cabbage and stick it in my bra and that would SOOTHE my pain. Honestly this is a nurse I REALLY didn't like and I was sure she had heard me mention that to anyone who would listen and this was her way of getting me back! Then I was talking to my sister Mara who said she had done it and it WORKED! So there it is, a women at her breaking point will do ANYTHING! (almost anything)

BTW IT IS NOT A PRETTY SMELL, PARIS GAVE ME A HUG AND SHE LOOKED AT ME AND SAID "I THINK TUSTIN POOPED" (tustin was laying next to me)

Meet Tustin Ryder DeWitt. Born October 20. 8 lbs. 3 oz., 20 1/2 inches long.
GORGEOUS. I wanna eat him up, he's so delicious.

However, he has a very protective big sister looking out for him, and whenever I mention nibbling, she adamantly refuses to let me.

Mommy is doing well and looking forward to post-recovery. Daddy is doing what Daddy's do in the hospital. :)

ANNIE I BLAME YOU!

I went over to my good friends Annie's house the other day and she had made cookies. Now usually I'm not much of a cookie freak, I can totally just eat one. But I don't know if it was the mixture of not eating lunch, being preggers, excusing myself to be fat while being pregnant and them being like the BEST cookies ever but I think I probably ate like a dozen myself that day! (Sorry Annie good thing you made a HUGE batch!)

Today I kept telling Justin I NEED those cookies but kept putting it off thinking I could will myself to NOT make 4 dozens cookies the night before I have this baby, since I will have to SLOW way down since I will just be FAT after tomorrow.

Well after dinner I couldn't resist and sent J to the store and made the cookies at 8 at night! I figure I can't eat after midnight tonight because of the surgery I should savor the moment NOW!

NOTHING LIKE A 9:30 PM SNACK THAT HIT THE SPOT! I AM NOW COMPLETE AND READY FOR TOMORROW!
