I’ve decided to utilise this blog, it has been sleeping for a while.
I still take several photos a day, sometimes photos of the every day life we live, sometimes with a scrapbook page in mind, sometimes to practise my photography skills. Some of it makes it in my Projcet Life album, some doesn’t, and that’s OK. I’m going with the flow.
I started Project Life in 2012, thinking I might keep it up, I might not. And I was OK with whatever happened. It turns out I LOVE the concept, and even if I’m normally about 8-10 weeks behind in putting it all together I still keep going. Because the end result is for my family, and they have loved it from the first time they saw what I was doing.
When I started PL, I found it hard not to embellish the pages just like I would embellish a scrapbook page. But I have found a concept that works for ME. Sometimes I have loads of decorations, sometimes not. And that’s OK. I don’t stress about how it looks, if it matches or if I’m using the latest and greatest product. I’m having fun, and most important of all – I’m recording our lives. And I’m getting myself in the picture from time to time too!!
I’m still scrapbooking. Maybe not as much, but I’ve realised my scrapbooking is actually more for me – for my creative outlet. Project Life is where the stories are told, the stories about our every day life, the big and the small.
I never really thought about sharing my pages, but I decided “why not”. I won’t mix it with my scrapbooking projects, I’ll have a space where it can be viewed (or not) separately. So I shook life in this old blog. Why not indeed!
One thing I will say – considering this really is a photo blog – it’s HARD photographing plastic pockets and get a good result – so apologies in advance for that!!!
So. If you are in to Project Life or you are wodering what it’s all about – welcome to follow me. I will upload my pages as time permits. Enjoy!!
