BMW hour glass

Image
What’s an hourglass? Oh yes, it’s an ancient time piece, flowing fine sand quietly marking time in a perfectly balanced glass. It was the kick-off party to start the countdown for BMW’s European launch of the latest model of BMW 7 series, slated to take place this fall. The car, displayed in the world’s largest hourglass in the Red Square, has not received much coverage but as soon as the construction for the hourglass marvel began four months ago, online buzz about it has been consistent. The 12-meter-high glass contraption was the centerpiece of the party thrown to 400 invited guests and celebrities. At the start of the build-up, more than 180,000 silvery balls concealed the car that was gradually revealed as the balls fell to the lower level. If you like this, you may want to check this out .

Quality of IKEA product

Image
IKEA has received two customer reports where the zip bottom stop has detached from the zipper which also makes it possible for the zip slider to detach. Both parts could present a choking hazard to small children. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the failure was poor quality of the zipper. We have stopped sales and production of BARNSLIG sleeping bags and we are now reviewing our routines to secure the quality of BARNSLIG. Children’s safety is always a top priority at IKEA. All products are subject to comprehensive risk analysis and assessment during the development process. As a guiding principle; wherever possible IKEA applies the strictest requirements on any of our sales markets. Customers who have a BARNSLIG sleeping bag with date stamps 0745 to 0824 are asked to bring it back to their local IKEA store for a full refund. The date stamp (yyww) is to be found on a label sewn inside the sleeping bag. For more information, contact 03-7726 7777.

IKEA recalls FEMTON clamp spot light for risk of over-heating

Image
The Swedish National Electricity Safety Board has tested the spot light and claims the construction of the lamp could create a risk of over-heating. IKEA has received no reports or complaints from customers of incidents involving over-heating of FEMTON spot light however; safety is always of highest priority at IKEA and that is why FEMTON clamp spot light is being recalled as a precautionary measure. FEMTON is a so called “goose-neck” lamp with a flexible stem which allows the beam to be directed at will. Tests have shown a variation of the stiffness of the flexible stem meaning that some lamps could be positioned with the bulb too close to a surface area for example a wall, shelf or table top which could result in over-heating. This is of course not acceptable and immediate measures have been implemented to secure future deliveries. The clamp spot light FEMTON concerned is produced in China and has been sold since 2004 in Europe, Asia and Australia. It is marked with a four digit date...

How to transfer song between iPod?

Image
One of the biggest problems that people have with iPods is that unless you have a diploma in hacking, it is extremely difficult to share your tunes, especially without getting a computer involved. That is of course until now. Want the latest album from your friends' iPod? Simply connect both iPods to the miShare unit, press the button and away you go. It's kind of like swapping football cards in the playground, although much cooler. Providing that your files are not DRM protected (that's digital rights management to you technophobes), everything from movies to photos to songs can be transferred. Even entire playlists. Nice. There is however one downside – for now the unit does not work with the iPhone or iPod touch, although we are told that a firmware update is being looked in to.

How your baby look like?

Image
Not so long ago, you didn’t even know the sex of your baby until the day of birth. Today, we’ll know just about everything there is to know -- especially now that expectant mommies and daddies can gaze upon their progeny with the help of Echographic images 4-D. Apparently, these are the best medical images available. Echographic imagery is not new, but it has not been widely used for this purpose. For the old-fashioned among us, who feel that emailing even ultrasound images of your baby to everyone is intrusive and somewhat disturbing, this is bad idea. And one might wonder if we shouldn’t be concerned about interfering with the baby’s scarce months of peace and quiet before he/she must face our noisy, over-lit world. Add to this our impulsive need to share every single moment of our rather uninteresting lives with the rest of the universe, this could become rather tiresome. However, once the Genie is out of the lamp, there’s no stuffing him back. So, expect to see images and video of ...

Hat Yai Trip 25th-28th July

Image
I'll go for a short trip to Hat Yai this month. Together with Agatha and her parent. Not sure what i gonna do there. From Wikitravel: * Hat Yai Municipal Park on Kanchanawanit Road, is six kilometers from the city center on the Hat Yai-Songkhla highway. It is the major recreation for the people of Hat Yai and surrounding areas as well. The park is full of beautiful flowering plants, with a pavilion in the middle of the pond, avarium, and food stalls. At the foot of the hill near the avarium stands the statue of King Rama V. There is a Brahman shrine at the hilltop. And at the southern foothill near the boy scout camp stands the jade statue of Guan-yin, the Chinese Goddess. Not really interest me. :( hmmm... what I gonna do in the park? Jogging? * Wat Hat Yai Nai (วัดหาดใหญ่ใน) on Phetkasem Road, near Khlong U Taphao Bridge, is the site of a large reclining Buddha measuring 35 meters long, 15 meters tall, and 10 meters wide, named Phra Phuttha Hattha Mongkhon, believed to be the thi...

Image
Its about 7 year ago that I graduated from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsasn Kepong. Such a long way back, such a fun stage of life. Back there: No need to submit homework yet can score some mark in exam. Now: Totally focus on work, but yet not everything goes smoothly. Back then: "Pretend" to listen what teacher talking for half a day. Relax for the whole afternoon and night. Now: Work in the morning. Talking about work during lunch. Continue work in afternoon. Then work from home later in night. Back then: Plan weekend for badminton, steambot, bbq with friend, birthday celebration. Now: No need to plan anymore. Cause every weekend also come back for work. But even if we are gathering again with secondary school friend, what will be the topic? Question1: Eh, where u working now? Question2: Cool~For how long d? Question3: Oh~ How is it? Imagine a gathering between 20 ppl which mean I can easily spend 2 hour to ask this 3 question to all of the 20 friend. Then probably will spend an...
