Kimi

The words and wisdom of Kimi By Phillip Horton  on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 © Lotus Renault GP Often remembered for his monosyllabic nature, Kimi’s interviews can be fairly funny… On tyres… I don’t know and it doesn’t mean anything to me. Tyres are what they are. On Alonso’s mind games… I couldn’t care less what that man thinks. On weather conditions… It’s all the same if it rains or not. On Finland… Well, in summer there’s fishing and fucking. And in winter… the fishing is bad. On the 2006 season… It doesn’t interest me yet what is going to happen. You’ll see it then. Kimi, what’s the 5th grid place like? It’s the 5th grid place. On Hungarian GP 2007: Boring race. On Ron Dennis: He’s strange now and then. He always wants to know everything. He doesn’t interest me. What makes TAG Heuer special? It’s ok. What kind of an atmosphere do you think  McLaren  has right now (the spy saga)?  – I bet it’s fucking great. On the Constructor’s Cham...

Maybe not for ours generation. But look at ours kids.... The internet had his photo, video and places that he went until his 3 yrs old. Even his  weight when he is new born! Now imagine his timeline... when he is growing into teenager, adult and eventually old.  Also,  facebook is having the largest photo library now. Best maps ever!

http://www.apple.com/letter-from-tim-cook-on-maps/ To our customers, At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better. We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps. In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up. There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day. In just over a week, iOS users with the new Maps have already searched for nearly half a billion locations. The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we gr...

iOS6

The new iOS6 will not have youtube as default app but google had release an app for youtube. It does look good at the first glance.  However, I still find the older app more stable after using iOS6 for a week. For example, I use 3rd party app for watch taiwan entertainment show which it will link me to video in youtube. With the new youtube app, Its still possible but significant slower. And around 50% it will return error.  Its the same if I want to watch any video using the new youtube app.  2 major disadvantages for iOS6:: 1. Map :: iOS6 poorer 2. YouTube :: iOS6 poorer btw, I'm using chrome in both iMAC and iphone. I think its better..

Epsom College

Since I have lived in Malaysia previously, many of its immediate and striking qualities have already embedded themselves in my memory. But it has been nine years since I was last here. So what are some of things that have struck me this time around? The weather is often dramatic. It is hot and humid and when the sun is out, it's beautiful, even in the middle of the city. When it rains, it rains! The storms are fantastic events - who needs firework displays? KL is a vibrant city; not as full-on as Bangkok , but busy nonetheless. The road system has improved greatly over the years and it's easy to get about. Taxis are readily available, but do insist on the meter as some drivers try to barter the fare . Driving is easy. Use the left hand side of the road as in the UK. Fellow road users are relatively considerate, although many drive painfully slowly . Road signs are generally clear, if a little randomly placed and rush hour traffic can vary considerably . You can just as easily...

Apple map suck big time

If you are ready to Pay hundreds for the phone and monthly telco subscription, why don't you just buy a third party map app which cost you less than a McDonald value meal? And you will atleast get to enjoy google map like good old days. But seriously, apple map is a unfinished product.

No pain no gain

Some recreation activity will cost you a fortune, while others may cost you your life. In photography, all you need is a camera and u can enjoy photo shooting within 5 mins. Even you failed and suck in it, most likely it will have minimal impact to you. In swimming or riding a bicycle, you need obtain a certain skill before you can "enjoy" it. Until you learn the game, you will be worry or lack of confident. And who on earth love being worry and lack of confident? and potentially, you going to hurt yourself in the process of learning. You will either fall down and bleed or sallow quite a bit of water. But it's a skill that you can enjoy for the rest of your life. You won't even remember the learning process. It's part of the game. You fall down, you get up, keep your faith, try again. Focus on the rewards. Keep working on it. Let there be scar. Come on... Do you scare?

Recycled Computer Parts Employed to Replicate Famous City Skylines

Image
Sent to you by Wei Han via Google Reader:     Recycled Computer Parts Employed to Replicate Famous City Skylines via Freshome.com - Interior Design & Architecture Magazine by Lavinia on 9/13/12 Taking his passion for computer components further, Italian artist Franco Recchia creates incredible miniature city skylines. Whether depicting Fifth Avenue, Boston or a fantastic future metropolis, each of the tech sculptures envisioned by Recchia and found on Inhabitat consists of an incredible mix of circuits. According to the official press release from the latest exhibition, "Recchia seeks in his sculptures to bring dignity to the process of modern creation, to highlight how every product produced by human hands contains talent, imagination and great beauty, and ultimately stems from the vast reservoir of human experience of which we are all a part. His sculptures are indeed a testament to what is beautiful, elegant and functional in the modern ...

Deeper and deeper

While we are screaming about anti racial and stop racial politic, we are being drag deeper and deeper by certain party. There was assumption that all malay or muslin ahli Parliament will vote yes when PAS propose hudud. Then there was a lot of calculation and % of each parliament seat. Which race will contest hence its will total up how many seat.  Where is the bangsa malaysia when we calculating race %, % seat own by certain race?  Why assume some race will do certain things?  So, if chinese have more seat, we will vote for single party like communist country?  Are you in the racist talk? deeper and deeper?

X in 1

We used to bring walkman, cassette, video camera, camera, phone when we go out during late 90. Some of us even have a small calendar, notepad, pen, calculator, newspaper, gameboy keep in ours beg. And now, smart phone just replace almost everything. The only thing that survive in this smart phone era is wallet, watch and key. Maybe in 2022, we will have smart watch.... which act like all of above. Or it will be sooner... 5 yrs later.

Oh dear

Life kept on running faster than me, I could not stop mine so please kindly stopped for me.

Things just happen

In IT, thing happen for a reason. That is why consultant need to check the log, find out the root cause. In real life, things just happen. There is no root cause and no log to check. He won a lottery. She miscarriage.  He die in a car accident. She got a twin. Her purse was stolen. Why is he/she? Why me? Why now? Why not? No control over it.  No need to finger pointing. No need to find the root cause that not even exist! No particular reason. Just get yourself ready for those situation and face it with a brave heart.
