I’m sitting in a rocking chair on my porch, with the fall wind blowing- thinking. I have realized that while I may not be liked by everyone, for one reason or another, I have a handful of people that I love more than anything. We may have our ups and downs, but it is never anything we can’t handle over time. I am so grateful to have more than one of these types of people in my life; because of that I will always appreciate them. I know that I can always depend on these people to love me and be there through all the different phases of life and for that I will always respect and love them.

Well, starting October 9th is Gay Pride in Atlanta!! My friend Destiny and I will definitely be going for the weekend to celebrate the 40th year of pride and partyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy(: It’s going to be very fun, although I am not looking forward to protesters. Especially the radicals- for future reference “God” does not measure sin. A “gay” is just as bad as a liar, and for those of you going by the Old Testament, when Jesus died on the cross it was a turning point; Christians are supposed to go by the New Testament. Enough of that though…

Also October 20th is my 18th birthday (Finally, I mean I’m in college) so my friend Rachel and I will be throwing a Halloween Bash that is partly my Birthday party on the 30th!! We’re going all out for a Halloween rave. Our friends’ psychobilly band, The Whiskey Dicks, is even doing a Halloween themed set. It will definitely be a costume party and we are looking forward to EVERYBODY coming!!

So I posted a status on face book that went like this:

” tell me this, how come people lie to you even when you beg for the truth? how about after time passes and there’s no reason for them to care if they upset you, they STILL dont have the decency to tell you? there are a few things i would REALLY like to know the truth about, but i dont know if ill ever get it. are you th…at big of a coward, or that bad of a person? i think i deserve the truth ESPECIALLY if i ask for it.”

You would think that If someone very close to you asked you to be honest with them that you would. Assuming you were the person I am talking about here was my situation. You dumped me after basically four years of friendship and a relationship with no warning. I ask you why and you give me bull shit reasons, and turn around and date your ex you talked mad shit about and the “reasons” you dumped me apply to her as well so I KNOW you are lying. Along with that some of the situations and information don’t add up and I think you are a good person so I want to clarify some things. I politely and calmly ask you to tell me the truth even if it’s bad. This is because I am already hurt and expect you to be a some what decent person and just answer my questions. Would you have the decency to do it? If so good, if not why?

Now lets throw in the time factor. It has been a couple of months, why not tell me now? My feelings mean nothing, you don’t have to see me or be around me. Why not tell me? I don’t want to be with you. I’m not depressed or crying, I simply would like to know the truth about some things.

Personally, I see this as cowardice and a lack of maturity.

Guilty pleasure books? :)

So, as much as I appreciate an intellectually stimulating book, you must understand that I also enjoy quite the opposite. There is something amazing about a simple, fiction or fantasy (preferably something darker). When I say simple I don’t necessarily mean a short text or a dumbed down vocabulary; just an easy to read book that is of genuine interest. I can pick up the story and just become a part of it. That may be childish, but I really don’t care. With that being said here is a little list composed of some of my favorites (No Specific Order), some of them are by the same authors (:

1. Tithe by Holly Black. I couldn’t begin to tell you how amazing this book is, or how often I wish it was real. Embarrassing? No.

2. Ironside by Holly Black. This is the third installment in the “Modern Tale of Faerie” series, but the second does not directly relate to Tithe while this one does. It’s just a continuation of my beloved Tithe (:

3. Lament: The Faerie Queen’s Deception by Maggie Stiefvater. This story is one that made me feel similar to how Tithe and Ironside did. I like the whole idea of Faerie not being the “Good Guys” we always imagined as children.

4. Ballad: A Gathering Of Faerie by Maggie Stiefvater. Ballad is the sequel to Lament and is just as great!!

5. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. So this is a werewolf story, but it breaks away from the norms of traditional werewolvery? lol. I really enjoyed reading this book along with its sequel, Linger.

6. Linger by Maggie Stiefvater

7. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. Wow, so I couldn’t figure out if I honestly liked this book or hated it. I figured I’d mention it anyways because it definitely caused me to think. Just know- your actions will have consequences.

8. JTHM by Jhonen Vasquez. I’m a lunatic and this comic set really just shows everything I’d like to do haha.

9. Red Wall (series) by Brian Jaquez. I remember reading some of these books in middle school, although I have not read all of them (the series is so vast it’s impossible!) I plan on trying to buy the set to finish. It is truly a great story.

10. The Last Dragon Chronicles (series) by Chris D’Lacey. Again, this is another series I started reading in middle school. Since then more have surfaced so I plan on trying to reread, as well as finish the series. I loved the idea/plot of the set so I would enjoy picking them back up. (:

11. Looking For Alaska by John Greene. This is another book, like thirteen reasons, that I enjoyed yet hated. I mean…you would just have to read it to understand. sorry. lol.

I wrote a lot for this blog only to have my laptop highlight and delete the entire entry.

WHAT THE FUCK.

So, basically I do not want a relationship. I know not every person that shows particular interest in me is going to be like my ex. I never thought that, I just do not want a relationship. I figure that by being honest and preventing things from happening I am being a genuine, if not decent person.This is NOT directed at any one person, I have had several people attempt to further relationships with me since my break up so I am just putting this out there. I am not being cocky by saying any of this. I like my freedom and I like meeting new people. Yes, going from a solid relationship to nothing sucks and I do get depressed. Because I miss what Cody and I had- I was completely comfortable with him. Overall, I am happy and I do not wish to hurt anyone. I know that if I got into a relationship right now I would:

-Grow bored with the person -I would pick them apart; personality and all.

-I would not treat them fairly -I would not give them the attention they deserve

So you see, I am not a heartless person. I would not be a proper girlfriend right now and I do not have feelings for anyone. I’d rather not lie. Plus, I am very busy with school and trying to get a job I do not have time to try and develop a serious relationship AGAIN, and I don’t do “flings” so there’s no point in my opinion.

“Assumption is the mother of the screw-up”

I have already missed a few days of blogging, oh well. I am not going to force myself to write when I run out of topics. The last thing I want to do is string along a page of bullshit. Lol. While I have a few topics to touch base on today, none of them are of any true importance. So don’t expect an elaborate, well thought out blog.

Today I did a (Left) tragus piercing, I was not going to pay $50 when I could do it myself for free. I am very sanitary about everything so there is no risk in doing so. Before that I went to the mall with my friend Luke and got double cartilage piercings on my right ear and I gauged up about 3days ago so I am now at a 2 🙂 These ear piercings are satisfying me until I can get what I actually want- Septum, nose, webbing under tongue, and a few others…

On a different topic- I received a refund of $286 from the state after my financial aid went through, so I went online and ordered some clothes as well as some reading material which I was in dire need of. Hopefully it will all be in by the end of the week!! I ordered 5 band tees, some Black men’s cargo shorts, Johnny the homicidal maniac comic book “book set”, and a few other things- of course I shopped clearance. I’m excited, I purchased two books at Barnes and noble today; Living dead girl and Looking for Alaska. I finished Living dead girl in an hour, it was a heart wrenching story with no happy ending which is refreshing when you think of normal story endings; I start on the other tomorrow.

I need to go ahead and finish my portfolio for Theatre Department auditions, as well as my forms for Study Abroad Program. Yay!! I’ll have those completed by Friday of this week. I really like to have things done way in advance so I don’t stress myself out to the point of becoming physically ill. I am horrible about that, but I can’t help it.

I really need to buy some good lotion…

Blah.

So I am still lacking in the “things to write about” department. Nothing out of the ordinary or intriguing has happened to me as of late, but hopefully that will change soon. I feel that the only hope left for this blog is to write some random facts about myself. I know it isn’t that appealing, but I will not let myself stray from the decision to write. So here goes…

-Pyramid Head is sexy.

-I love dark humor (Ex: neurotically yours)

-My ears are gauged and I plan on getting 7 piercings.

-I love camping, mud riding, kayaking, etc..

-My favorite drinks are: sweet tea, mountain dew, Yoo Hoo, and coffee.

-Oriental food (of all kinds) is my favorite. Sushi being the best(:

-I constantly check the time on my phone; it’s like a nervous tick.

-Favorite holiday is Halloween, birthday is October 20th

-I plan on getting certified to do body piercings within the next year

-I LOVE ZOMBIES. ❤

-Brittany Murphy is my favorite actress & female celebrity

-Gerard Way is my favorite male celebrity

-Russell Brand is my favorite comedian, male actor

-Tim Burton movies are amazing, even BEFORE it was trendy

-My guilty pleasure “reads” are faerie “teen” fiction lol

-Taco Bell is the best fast food. period.

-I love to cook, and I am good at it. 😀 I pride myself in it.

-My confidence is often perceived as cocky. Oh Well.

-I am not intimidated by ANYBODY. That doesn’t mean I don’t think certain people could whoop my ass, I’m just not intimidated.

“We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment.”

I am currently in the process of applying for scholarships and acceptance into the Study Abroad Program at CSU. I will be going to London for 5weeks during the summer semester, June-July, to “Study Abroad”. I am very confident I will be accepted seeing as though I am in the Honors Program and my Literature teacher is the director. Once I experience it I plan on returning the following summer semester then ultimately going for an entire year for my junior or senior year; possibly both.

While in London I will have the opportunity to travel to many other places, see performances, socialize, and ultimately learn more than books could ever teach me. If I like it enough I could quite possibly move over there. At this point I want to experience as many new things as humanly possible in order to get away from my comfort zone. I want to start a new life, and I’m not quite sure it will be in America. I’ve often pondered over living in a foreign country, and it doesn’t seem like too bad of an idea. Nonetheless, I will try out the Study Abroad Program to get the feel of London and various other places.
