Deb's Baby Quilts

Deb made 2 of these cute flannel baby quilts. Makes me want to get out my tote of baby flannels and make some myself.

I chose Hearts and Roses panto and used Pearl White Omni thread and Hobbs 80/20 bleached batting. This photo shows the fabrics much better.

And the backing:

She also make this cute quilt with cottons.

Angel Wings panto and the same thread and batting.
And the backing of this one. I had to add a piece in the center for her.

Animal Baby Quilt

Deb made this darling baby quilt and the back is just as cute as the front. Lucky baby!!

I chose Popcorn panto for it, along with Omni Safari thread, which just blends in perfectly.

Today's Quilts

Tonight I set up the quilt stand and took some photos of Janet's quilt. If you thought it was bright in yesterday's picture, just take a look at this one. (click on the picture to get a better look)

And the back:

Then I loaded Deb's Sampler quilt that she's having quilted for a friend. This is her friends first quilt and what a lot of techniques she learned with this one.

I quilted it with the Baptist Fan template, PermaCore Eggshell thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting. It looks quite classic, as it should.

Raspberry Dessert

Don't forget to leave a comment by midnight Friday, April 1, on the Raspberry dessert post to win one of Julie Herman's patterns. And come back on Saturday to see if you're a winner.

Another one done!

I loaded and quilted Deb's yellow and blue quilt today. I'm not sure of the name, but the panto, Daisy Swirl, by Lorien Quilting that she picked out is perfect for this quilt. The batting is Hobbs 80/20, and the thread is Permacore Light Leghorn.

And the back, which shows a better likeness of the color, a soft yellow.

Here are some shots of Jennifer's Chinese Coins from yesterday. It's a beautiful quilt and her sister Misty (the recipient of this quilt) is certainly lucky to have talented Jennifer as a sister.

The panto is Waterworld by Willowleaf studios, batting is Hobbs 80/20, and the thread is Permacore eggshell

And the back:

Whew, now I can go on a little vacation!

2 More Quilts On and Off!

I finished Deb's Tractor Quilt this evening. I believe this one is for her dad and I'm sure he will love it. I used the Circle Lord Baptist Fan templates, PermaCore white thread, and Hobbs 80/20 batting

The back is muslin and I love it!

This one is Mary's and she needs it for a baby shower this Sunday. She's been spending lots of time watching baseball games lately, but still found time to assemble this cute quilt.

It is from a book panel, and I would say by the thin gold sashing around the blocks that it is a Golden Book panel. Again, I used white PermaCore thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting. The quilting is Square Spiral and just as a reference, I took the tractor quilt off at 8:00 and loaded this one and was finished 5 minutes after American Idol started at 9:05. It's only 50 x 42, but that's still pretty good time, I think.

Just look at this cute fabric on the back
