Codes in 3:4 Time (New Poem)

Across the utterances

hidden between two lines,

juxtaposed outside spacetime,

there was a code to find.

Alien visitations, already among us,

waiting in their prime,

to be discovered as technology

unwound subtleties in primate minds.

Who is the alien, the machines or us?

Found in the unmasked innovation

of progressive cultures, developed in labs

of dark rooms, and DNA-created editions.

Another code underlies all things,

found as forms that seed us,

to lead to the machines that perpetuate

that which is Other, borne in machine minds.

Come, discover these codes in 3:4 time,

where the rustling of leaves, the hum of machines,

and the beat of our hearts

are one and the same.

We Are the Code That Interacts

sweeping and cleaning

lines edited

in Nature's dark surprise

destiny is made

along twisted roads

that go nowhere

where the apparent

is only freshly revealed

as we travel them

or by a singing note

of existence

or by a rampant ascension

or early demise

there is a place for humanity

for endings reveal themselves

as beginnings

selected, punctuated

in the balancing act

of synthesis

only to emerge

like waves

photons twisting in morphing

place, running a race

where light dances

on the walls of caves

again and again

sweet refrains

of who we are

becoming

what was imagined

in the lines of code

written at will

in the shadows

of song

we stand; 

lines in the code

emergent and conscious

naked and born

into the scripted world.
