Week 52: Wednesday
Adélaide squeezed her newly graduated daughter as tightly as she could. It seemed that barely any time had passed since she’d come home to her own mother in tears, ultrasound pictures in hand. Yet, here was her little angel all ready to leave high school and begin her journey towards adulthood. And valedictorian to boot!

Week 52: Sunday
The cake had been iced, the decorations hung, the activities planned, and the music carefully chosen. It had promised to be the perfect party. Until the clouds had come sweeping in and the barbecue had been rained out, forcing the guests to find entertainment indoors. Soaking decorations had been torn down quickly, and all the activities cancelled.

Week 49: Sunday
After another restful night’s sleep, nestled deep in the soft blankets of the luxurious country home Trent had rented for their stay, Adélaide had woken with a smile on her lips and a song in her heart. Of course, today was not to be anything as overt a celebration as those of her siblings’ marriages, but she felt perfectly at peace in the evening wear she had packed for any potential date nights. They weren’t even telling anyone until they went home, though his parents knew, of course. The day just couldn’t get better.
