Hello folks!
Yes, I know I have not been updating this blog for awhile now … mostly due to my pre-occupation with Uncle Burger’s Facebook Page. But this is about to change, with my discovery of a great Facebook App called RSS Graffiti.
What this app does, is that it grabs this blog’s posts via its RSS feed, and posts an update of it right into Uncle Burger’s Facebook Page.
What this means, is that I can now post news and updates into this blog, and Facebook users like you will be notified on your Wall almost instantaneously 🙂
With this, I hope to resume blogging more here, without worrying that Facebook Fans of Uncle Burger will be left out of the latest news. Awesome … I’ll talk more with you folks soon!

Wassup …
Hey, folks.
Sorry for the quiet since the New Year. Thanks for all that check into this blog every now and then for updates to what’s been going on with Uncle Burger. Actually there has been quite a whirlwind of activity, but I’m usually too pooped after the day’s (well night’s) business … am not much in the mood to blog anymore 😦
I recently “re-discovered” my Twitter account and its mobile Tweet service. Unless, suddenly there’s something that totally excites me and that I absolutely need to write a 5,000-word post in this blog … most of my updates will be short and and in Twitter.

Accident on eve of Christmas
Accident involving hands. Unable to open tonight; am so sorry folks.

Rainstorms have been rolling in smack on opening hour of 5pm everyday for the past 3 days. I can’t open on time even if I wanted to … Apologies, folks.
But I will open every evening – right after the rain dies down enough for me not to get soaked doing so. Usually 6pm onwards.
So, see you in a bit at Uncle Burger’s!

The lull before the storm …
Well, 2x stocks did well on Thursday; am glad y’all got yer fix of Uncle Burger’s 🙂 Was kinda strange to have none of you between 11pm to closing … zip, nada. All of yous decided to come earlier on the night, eh? Hehehe …
Came Friday … and hoo, boy. Y’all sure ganged up on Uncle Burger and came in one huge party! For the information of the data and marketing fans (and for those who missed the “action”!):
- 2x stock was brought out on opening hour
- another 2x stock was replenished over a single hour
- eggs were sold 4x the average amount
- cheese were sold 2x the average amount
- overall 4x sales volume of previous 9pm~12midnight operating hours
- highest volume sold since re-opening @ 3 December 2009

3-night roundup
Uncle Burger’s new opening days & hours:
Mondays to Fridays, 5pm to 12 midnight
(Closed on Saturdays & Sundays)
Hey … my bad for not updating the past 2 days. If only because … you guys have been great!
I had never expected everyone to come in droves upon Uncle Burger’s re-opening! I had “officially” (can’t be “shop-icially”, right) started new 5pm – 12am opening hours on Monday. Admittedly, I had not stocked up any more than usual cos … well, I wasn’t sure you guys would come around again that soon.
But boy, was I wrong.
I had sold out the “standard” stock levels by 8pm on Monday! Praise the Lord; thanks all!
So, I brought out 1.5x more on Tuesday … and all was good 🙂 I managed to serve y’all till closing time. Alright, I said to myself – this stock level oughta be right.
But you guys once again proved me wrong … for yesterday, Uncle Burger sold out the 1.5x stock levels by 10pm :-p Soooo … for tonight (Thursday), I shall ramp up the level to 2x to get each and every one of you home with your burgers, alright?

Finally!
I finally got to open last night – in my new kiosk 🙂
And with great weather to boot – no rain! Well, not until closing time; it just showered a wee bit … which lasted all of 5 minutes. Very, very rare at this time of the year; more so the past month or so. Thank you, Lord.
I didn’t see you regulars, though. So hope to see you soon 🙂

Delay in re-opening
This is so frustrating!!
Due to problems in the fabrication of the new stall, some critical cooking equipment is not functioning as planned. I will have to postpone re-opening to tomorrow night – Thursday, 3 December 2009.
Arrrrrggghhhh!!! I could seriously hurt that metal fabricator … My profuse apologies, loyal customers.

Oh wow … has it been so long??
Good grief …
I am sooo sorry and embarassed folks 😦 Like, I totally forgot about this blog! Thanks to some of my great customers (you know who you are!) … I think I’d better start blogging again!
Ok … the obvious start point for a blog that has been left dormant for over a year … what the heck happened to Uncle Burger?! Here’s why I have not been open for yonks …
1. Downright ugly weather.
2. A whole lotta wheelin’-n-dealin’ for business projects in KL, KT, and Ipoh.
3. Budget crunch on funding the build of a new kiosk (yeah! brand-spankin’ NEW!)
4. Delay after delay on fabrication of the said new kiosk.
So there you have it … it a nutshell. The good news is; if some of you would have noticed at around 3pm today – the new, orange-and-white-colored stall is plonked into place at the exact same location 😀 Yep; we are ready to start COOKIN’ once again!
Uncle Burger will re-open for business tomorrow, Wednesday 2 December 2009.
Prices remain the same; all your favourites on the menu are still there … so see you tomorrow night!
