Business Tips Updates…

For those of you who like the business tips, I’ve simplified the site and instead of me cutting and pasting the whole post here on this site, I’ve created a new link to the originating site, which is at Trizle.com. You can view the latest tips by clicking on the last link located at the bottom right of this page.

I’ll then concentrate on writing more post in regards to Technical Support and IT Support related articles. They are mainly for my own reference and hopefully will be as useful to you as it will be to me. Since human memory tends to be short-term if we don’t use the knowledge or the new skills learn, having “something” to remind yourself what it is about such as an article written by “yourself” will be a good starting point.

In the days to come, I’ll be writing articles or will be referencing to related sites in regards to Server management and also on some of the personal projects that I’m currently doing. Do check back soon.

Happy reading….

Why Set Daily Goals

  1. Set goal.
  2. Fail goal.
  3. Set no more goals.

“I always fail my goals!”, you scream like a little bizattchi.

“I now avoid setting goals because I don’t want to fail anymore!”

Say that to Supertreezy, and he’ll throw you off a cliff and eat your children.

Instead, know this:

  1. Sure, you’ll occasionally fail at your goals.
  2. You’ll fail even more if you set no goals.

Read that last little bizattch again:

  • You’ll fail even more if you set no goals.

Why?

Goals psychologically compel you to get work done in the allotted time.

That is, subconsciously:

  1. Brain sees goals.
  2. Brain magically revolves its priorities around demolishing those goals.

Result:

  • Your inner voice: “Hey! I will strive to complete these things! Oh yes I will!”

Yes, You’ll Suck at First. But, You’ll Suck Good.

Get this:

  1. Like an inept little 4-year-old who can’t play t-ball, you’ll initially suck at kicking ass.
  2. But over time, the more you work on accomplishing your goals, the better you’ll become at it.

It’s like lifting weights:

  1. “I will try really hard to complete my goals at first.”
  2. “But, rocking my goals will soon become a natural thang!”

Eventually:

  • You = Alex @#$% Rodriguez.
  • Goals = Kaput like mofos.

Yay for you. Hooray we all say. High five to you.

Set goals. Blast goals. Repeat.

How Delegating Your Work Rocks

There comes a time where one will lead a team to complete a project. The questions of task delegation always comes to mind when the team is newly formed and the list of things to be done seems endless. To be honest, based on past experience, most team leads are not sure of what’s going to come besides knowing what needs to be done since the end results are often given in advance, in the form of the dreaded deadline, (E.g. Implement the XXX module by XX/XX/XXXX, or have the XXXX up and running by XX/XX/XXXX).

Anything in between starting the job and completing it is based on the team lead’s experience and exposure. For those who are just starting off to lead the pack, this will be a great challenge or a good learning experience too, depending on how you look at it. How Self-Motivated Are You?

Taking Charge of Your Goals and Achievements

Are you motivated to achieve what you really want in life? And how hard do you push yourself to get things done?

Wanting to do something and motivating yourself to actually do it are two different things. So, what’s the difference between those who never reach their goals, year after year, and those who achieve one goal after another? Often, it’s their self-motivation.

Self-motivation is the force that keeps pushing us to go on – it’s our internal drive to achieve, produce, develop, and keep moving forward. When you think you’re ready to quit something, or you just don’t know how to start, your self-motivation is what pushes you to go on.

With self-motivation, you’ll learn and grow – regardless of the specific situation. That’s why it’s such a fundamental tool for reaching your goals, achieving your dreams, and succeeding, in this journey of life.

So, how self-motivated are you? We’ve put together a short quiz to give you a better understanding of how self-motivated you are. After the quiz, we’ll discuss some specific tips for improving your self-motivation, so that you can achieve still more in your life.

How to Finish All of Your Tasks

For this week, the title is How to Finish All of your Tasks.

Everyday when we come to work, we set ourselves some tasks that we like to complete before the days end but in most cases, we get distracted and before you know it, it’s already time to call it a day???!!! Where has the time gone, one may ask?

Well, in most cases, it’s not that we are not doing the work but we actually spend too much time trying to make the 1st task “perfect” while neglecting the rest of the chores….

A better way to approach this is to complete each of the task as quickly as possible. Once all the required items are done, we can then come back to further improve on them.

Start thinking:

  1. Execute first.
  2. Perfect that execution progressively over time.

That is:

  1. Finish today’s tasks quickly (e.g., 30 minutes).
  2. Perfect those tasks throughout the day.

Quickly complete; then, beautify.

Simple Document Management Systems Implemented!!!

I have just completed the implementation of the 1st phase of a Document Management Systems for my company. It took about 2 months of system study and prototyping. Since the users was involved in the development stage, the system was implemented without any resistance and the users are happy to have it. Here’s what the software can do for the time being and the rational of why I chose to do certain things in a certain way.
