ABOUT
In 2009 I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s Disease. I was prescribed drugs which
alter the brain chemistry. In 2015/2016, following several dose increases, I suddenly started
waking up in the early hours with complete poems, fully formed which I had to write down.
Prior to my illness I was a specialist Contact Lens Optician, with my own Practice. I’ve worked in Optics for over 30 years. I live in West Yorkshire, Northern England with my Wife and son, my daughter is studying History and Literature at the University of Lancaster. I was born in 1964 and have lived in Northern England all my life.
