Where are the toffypops??
You know when you really crave some random thing? (no, I’m not pregnant and not craving dirt or anything stupid)
Well my random craving – toffypops!!
Lovely heart attack inducing buttery shortbread covered in a layer of equally coronary inducing gooey toffee and finally covered in rippling milk chocolate.
Are you drooling yet?? 🙂
Well that my friends is a toffypop. Made by the wonderful Burton’s biscuit factory who also make wonderful and unhealthy biscuits like jammy dodgers and wagon wheels. Whatever happened to wagon wheels? Don’t see them in the shops either…
Anyways, have been on a quest to find this gooey treasure and am coming up with zilch. Looked in the usual grocery stores, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s – zilch. Then one day I happened to pass a £ shop. Yeah yeah I know, only the schemies go in there but I got 2 kids with toys that need upto 6 batteries each and you can’t beat 10 Kodak batteries for £1!! So what do I find as I pass the biscuit aisle to pay ?? Toffypops!!! Yippee!!! So I buy a packet – devoured by the kiddos. Go back to get more and they are all out 😦 why oh why? So I go back again a week later, still nothing. Another week later, still zip. No grocery stores have them. So now I’m wondering has there been some toffypop recall?? Have they decided not to manufacture them any more?? What’s going on?? I may need to pay a visit to the factory(which happens to be nearby 😉 ) to find out what’s going on! Anyone have any ideas??
