Your prompt for JusJoJan January 13th, 2026 is “rubbish.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun“
RUBBISH
The way you look at me sometimes
That tone of voice you use, cuts really deep
You punish me for unknown crimes
The fear of repercussions wakes me from my sleep.
I cannot spend my life walking on eggshells
I can no longer fight the demons
You make me feel like rubbish
I am rubbish

This is part of Just Jot it January and the prompt word, “opinion,” is brought to us by John. Check out his blog here!
Open your mouth and your ears
People, hear my opinion
I have been spouting it for years.
No you can’t bury your head or run.
I have plenty to say
On any subject night or day.
No doubt my opinion holds sway.

January 11, 2026 and this week Jim Adams our regular host for Song Lyric Sunday has enlisted the help of Di from pensitivity101. Well Di’s prompt is a Song that includes a mode of transport, either going by land (road or rail), water, or air.
I have picked three songs with the same title ! Two are the same song but the third is a real headbanger! I hope you enjoy.
Here we go Harley Davidson by Marianne Faithful. 1968 I had just met hubby. The header photo is of that day, coloured an enhanced by my clever sister in law.
The Girl on a Motorcycle (French: La Motocyclette) is a 1968 erotic romantic drama film directed by Jack Cardiff, starring Alain Delon and Marianne Faithfull. It is based on the 1963 novel La Motocyclette by André Pieyre de Mandiargues. Released as Naked Under Leather, it was the first film to receive an X rating in the United States, and edited by Warner Brothers for an “R” rating. It was listed to compete at the 1968 Cannes Film Festival, but the festival was cancelled due to the May 1968 events in France.
The film is set in France and Germany. Newly married Rebecca leaves her husband Raymond’s bed on her prized motorbike—her symbol of freedom and escape. During her ride to visit Daniel, her lover in Heidelberg, she indulges in psychedelic and erotic reveries as she relives her changing relationship with the two men. Her flashback scenes reveal the background story. Rebecca met Daniel while working at her father’s bookshop a few weeks before her marriage to Raymond, a school teacher. Daniel gives Rebecca motorcycle driving lessons on a Norton Atlas motorcycle. They quickly become lovers. She asks him if he will marry her, and he simply says “No”. She tells him that she is soon to be married, and he says he will give her a wedding present. A Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle is delivered to Rebecca at the bookshop. Her father says she should refuse it, but she asks Raymond what she should do and he says she should do what will make her happy. She rides the motorcycle from France to Germany to be with Daniel. After having several drinks of kirsch in a small village bar, she drives fast and recklessly, and although she wears leathers she has no helmet, and her ride to Daniel ends prematurely when she collides with a truck which swerves in front of her, throwing her head-first through the windscreen of an oncoming car, which then crashes into the truck. I don’t need anyone on a Harley Davidson
Je n’ai besoin de personne en Harley Davidson
I don’t recognize anyone on a Harley Davidson anymore
Je n’reconnais plus personne en Harley Davidson
I press the starter
J’appuie sur le starter
And here I am leaving the Earth
Et voici que je quitte la Terre
I might go to heaven but on a hellish train
J’irai peut-être au paradis mais dans un train d’enfer
I don’t need anyone on a Harley Davidson
Je n’ai besoin de personne en Harley Davidson
I don’t recognize anyone in a Harley Davidson anymore
Je ne reconnais plus personne en Harley Davidson
What if I die tomorrow
Et si je meurs demain
This was my destiny
C’est que tel était mon destin
I value life much less than my terrible machine
Je tiens bien moins à la vie qu’à mon terrible engin
When I feel on the way
Quand je sens en chemin
The tremors of my machine
Les trépidations de ma machine
Desires rise up in the hollow of my back
Il me monte des désirs dans le creux de mes reins
I don’t need anyone on a Harley Davidson
Je n’ai besoin de personne en Harley Davidson
I don’t recognize anyone on a Harley Davidson anymore
Je n’reconnais plus personne en Harley Davidson
I go to over 100
Je vais à plus de 100
And I feel like I’m on fire
Et je me sens à feu et à sang
What does it matter to me to die with my hair blowing in the wind?
Que m’importe de mourir les cheveux dans le vent
What does it matter to me to die with my hair blowing in the wind?
Que m’importe de mourir les cheveux dans le vent

The song was written by Gainsbourg during his short affair with Bardot. According to the Swiss 24 heures, those were extremely prolific “inspired days and sleepless nights” for Gainsbourg, when he wrote several cult songs including this one.
Gainsbourg recalled in a 1972 interview to Paris Match: “I suggested we listen to ‘Harley Davidson’. At her place, we were like two cats, observing each other, almost in confrontation. We were overwhelmed by utter shyness and riddled with stage fright.” He continued: “When she sang ‘Que m’importe de mourir en Harley Davidson’ (‘What do I care about dying on a Harley-Davidson‘), those words hit me like a ton of bricks; they were incredibly sensual. On the night of the recording, our lives merged into a continuous current that nothing could divide. The flash was blinding, and our passion was magnificent.
The original version by Bridget Bardot

The tour is over and I’m goin’ home
Home to my baby, the bike of my own
So good to feel her, so nice and so clean
Hard to believe it, she’s just like a dream
We’re drivin’ out to the countryside
Buy a sixpack we’ve got the time
I’m gonna tell my girl to move
’cause I´ve got real love to prove
Anytime I wanna, every time I can
I’ll escape on my Harley-Davidson
Anytime I wanna, every time I can
I’ll escape on the highway
Gonna get married as soon as we can
When I tell the church, the shit hits the fan
I’m gonna buy her all the gas she needs
Fill her up with love, burning on the wheels
We’re drivin’ out to the countryside
Makin’ love in the morning light
Don’t have to pray for her to stay
’cause I´ve got my bike anyway..
I don’t own the rights to this song and video.
The lyrics for “Harley-Davidson” by the band ABCD (or A.B.C.D.) start with the lines: “The tour is over and I’m goin’ home / Home to my baby, the bike of my own / So good to hear her, so nice and so clean / Hard to believe it, she’s just like a…”. The song is about returning to a beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle after a tour, expressing affection for the machine.
The lyrics for the song “Harley-Davidson” by the band AB/CD were written by Nalcolm.
The song was released on their album The Rock ‘n’ Roll Devil in 1988. You can find the lyrics on websites like Genius and view the song on YouTube.
My favourite is definitely Marianne Faithful because she was a heroine offender mine!
But you got to LOVE ABCD !

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 9th, 2026 is “celebrate.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!
Celebrate the dawn here she comes tripping over the horizon. You would think she’d know by now that it’s lying in wait but no! Every morning it is the same she trips and stubbs her toe. Hold on I digress we are about to celebrate the dawn.

Raise your hands in praise
As she sets the scene ablaze
As she twirls her cloak
Spreading golds and reds around
Celebrate dawn’s arrival.

Your prompt for #JusJoJan the 10th and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “don’t get me started.” Use the phrase in your post or just write about the first thing it conjures in your mind. Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

“Don’t get me started” Morgarna was bristling with rage.
“I only asked how it went ” smirked Merlin as Morgarna swished past him on her way to the bathroom.
She was covered from head to foot in mud and cowdun .
Merlin crept up to the bathroom door smothering a hearty laugh… Taking a deep breath he asked through the door. “Morgs, babe what happened…”
There was a scream that could shatter the stained glass of a thousand cathedrals.
Merlin fell to his knees his ears bleeding.
Morgarna stepped over the quivering Merlin she looked down at him and spat: “I said don’t get me started!”

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 8th, 2026 is “stumble.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!“
Stumble…I am good at that. I seem to spend a lot of time stumbling in to situations, dangerous, comical, embarrassing situations.
Half my life I just stumble from crisis to another… But don’t we all.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 6th, 2026 is “intentional.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!
Intentional or not willow found she was constantly slipping behind…. She was not able to keep up.
Then things got worse! She kept getting things wrong, whether it was intentional or not hubby was getting short tempered…. So willow went for a walk…..
Then as if the fates decided to give her a break willow found that things were getting better…. She hoped it was intentional and that the fates were on her side at last.🤔🤐

Yesterday January 5 , the prompt for LindaGHill for Just Jot it January comes from is brought to us by J-Dub. Check out her blog here! is brought to us by J-Dub. Check out her blog here! . it’s “Nature”
Was it nature or nurture that made Jace such a nice person. Both his parents were easy going happy people and he had grown up in a relaxed home.
Jace was always happiest in the garden raising his plants and tending his animals.
So many said it was nurture….as his parents had treated him gently and taught to be kind.
Others felt that his wonderful attitude was due to the beautiful nature that flourished from deep inside him 💜💜💜
