One-Word-Sunday-Hanging

~~~~~~~
hanging
a decorative piece of fabric or curtain hung
on the wall of a room or around a bed.
~~~~~

Not the best piece to match the definition

however it is one of the few images I have

of hang gliders.

Lastly, a wall hanging from maybe

fifty to sixty years ago.

One-Word-Sunday-Wiggly

~~~~~~~
wiggly
“Wiggly” means making small, quick, irregular movements from side to side,
or having a wavy or sinuous form with many curves.
It describes things like “wiggly worms” or a “wiggly line” and
can be used informally to describe something that is wavy or unsteady.
~~~~~

We were on a Game Drive one evening at

Sausage Tree Safari Camp, when suddenly

our driver/guide pointed out a snake trail.

As it was an evening drive and the sun was not far off setting,

it took some sorting out in the evening light.

A few years ago, the camera club…

…to which I belong…

…organised a Sunset Cruise…

…on Geelong’s Corio Bay.

A great couple of hours was had by everyone.

While Google does not have a name

for is image I will stick with Gum Leaves

simply because there is a single leaf

a Gum Leaf.

FOWChallenge-Flash

~~~~~
flash
shine in a bright but brief, sudden,
or intermittent way.
~~~~~

It is no good pressing the shutter after you see the flash of lightning.

That is far too late.

I found it was more productive to use a wider angle lens, (18mm)

to capture a greater area of sky; and couple that with a slower

shutter speed, (20 seconds) and pray that I would capture

flashes of lightning that occurred while the

shuttter was open.
