Some Godly Encouragement

I set my heart on God above
The eternal one who shows me love

He holds my hand and takes the lead

A faithful God he is indeed!♡

Family On A Plantation

Slave-Family

For Your Perusing pleasure. I enjoy sharing older photos in hopes of helping someone find pictures of their ancestors.

Particularly black ancestors as we have unfortunately been split up due to circumstance and family pictures may be lost to many sides of a generation.

An Fancy unknown black woman

This photo was in a crate of photos that a deceased relative left one of my Aunts. It is unmarked.

I thought that this woman looked quite nice. I decided to share her in hopes that someone recognized her.

Friends of Ancestor: Annie Doris and Leonard Christian

My Great Aunt left an Aunt a good amount of old photos which are mostly unmarked. I do not know if I’m related to half of the people photographed or not.

A few pictures were marked and I decided to see if I could find out any information on them. They seemed to have been friends with this relative as they exchanged photos, and in my research came from the same town as the Couple’s parents.

Their names were Annie Doris Porter Christian (1929-2014) and Leonard Christian (1930-2009). Annie was the daughter of Posie Lydia Porter (1893-1986). Lincoln was the Son of Corbitt Christian (1899-1978) and Gertrude Knight (1900-1992)
