While simple seems to be in vogue again, I like to think of myself as very unique and complex individual living in a world that just doesn’t give a damn. 

As I sneak up closer and closer on my 40th birthday, my goal is to truly believe that I am getting better rather than older. 

Whe I was a kid, my sometimes incarcerated Uncle used to call me Dickytom to piss off my dad.  It worked.  It is a shortened version of my first and middle names.  I used to hate it too until a woman I used to know started using that name whenever I got riled up.  Since I expect to be quite riled while writing this blog, it seemed appropriate.

While I don’t have a specific theme in mind, I will post a rant or two a week concerning one of my many passions.  Big red wines, red meat, being a single dad, good behavior in a world of rudeness, and other manly pursuits will be discussed in great detail.
