ABOUT FLIFF
For the past 40 years, the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) transforms South Florida into a cinematic playground — a fusion of world-class films, beachside glamour, and creative energy that draws filmmakers and movie lovers from around the globe.
Founded in 1986, FLIFF is one of the longest-running film festivals in the world. FLIFF showcases films from around the world, the US and right here in South Florida, including features, documentaries, shorts, and world premieres. From Hollywood icons to indie newcomers, the lineup celebrates bold storytelling and diverse voices. The festival is proudly produced by the Broward County Film Society and has been named among the Top Film Festivals in the U.S.
The festival spans 8 days across Broward County, with screenings and events at iconic venues like Savor Cinema (Fort Lauderdale’s historic art-house theater) and Cinema Paradiso in Hollywood. Beyond the theaters, FLIFF hosts dazzling red carpet galas, beach parties, and filmmaker networking events that capture the spirit of South Florida.
