French Bag

Pfff ...  I'm a little exhausted. Between all the hectic of christmas my daughter is moving to another house and have to rebuild and restyle and with a daughter of two around you that is very difficult. Though my granddaughter of almost 2 years old is a lot of time with us now and asborbs our energy for days.  At the end of the the day we are glad that we can lay her in bed for her sleep. Than my DH and we fall in our chairs and  have to fight to the sleep and keep our eyes open.for the evening. What a energy those kids have. Clearly we have forgotten how it was when our own four children grow up.  But than we where a lot younger and had more energy ourselves. But we love every minute of time we can spend with her, grandchildren are se special.

Yesterday she stayed with her other grandparents and i spend a day in my hobby room. Some time ago I downloaded a wonderful image from the site of The Grafics Fairy and someone changed that for me in a embroidery design. I made this bag from burlap, i love that fabric especially the natural color, and think the image fits perfectly with the ruffles, blue stripes and lace don't you think. I'm so glad with the embroidery design of the french label,  shall use that a lot.

Fabric collage

In the middle of all the X mass hectic i tought it was time for something else. Though i sat down in my new little hobbyroom and made this fabric collage. I couldn't help my self and gone completely out of my head with fabic,  lace, ruffles and buttons to create a little victorian style.
The next weeks there will be no time for creating cause my daughter is moving to another house and during that periode i have to watch my granddaughter of almost two.

A brocante Ipad/phone wrap

I couldn't resist to make another ipad wrap. This time in a little brocante style and in one  of my favorite colors white and blue. Used an old skirt to make the pocket for the phone and a lot of cotton underdress  ruffles and embroidery for the Ipad pocket.

PPPPFFFFFF finally our lives seems to be back to a little bit normal after a couple of very hectic months with our son. Never tought this could ever happen in our family but it did and it makes you feel so tiny and greatfull for every day we can close with a little hope and light.

So today for the first time in weeks i had some time to go to postoffice and send out all the give aways. Sorry ladies for being so late but it was out of my hands, but it is now coming your way.

Before all the hectic started i had signed up for Nellie Wortmans online wrapping class. I so admire her creativity and love to  attend her classes. This class started on the first of October and it was great as always. This is my project an I-wrap with small and big pockets to store my i-pad, phone and a small note book.

The first two giveaways.

As i already wrote in my previous post i had to clean up my hobbyroom and move to anoher much smaller room. Whilecleaning upi found some old wor wich i don't have place for anymore so i decided to place it on my blog as giveaways. Maybe there is someone who like it and will give it a new place somewhere. The first Giveaway is not so old but it has to go, cause there is no place anymore, is my small fabric album "Risky Ladies".

Small fabric book

Hehe, finally i have time to post something on my blog. Lately i have been very busy with other things. Making clothes and little crochet shoes for my granddaughter, going on vacation and a little bit sick. My son has moving back in the house and we had to make space for him. I had to give up my big hobby room and go back to a small room. Wow that was not very easy, had to throw away a lot. I have a lot of collages wich i made in the past where i don't have space for anymore. I will search them all out and make pictures of them and post them on my blog the next time. Maybe some of you would like to have a real "Yvonne" LOL.
Between all that work and mesh i have finnished an other small journal calles Risky Ladies and is made from scraps from old and new fabric and lace.

Yesterday my little granddaughter of 1,5 years old discovered the piano in the house and gave us a free interpertation of the music in her head. So serious!!! Must we give her up for Holland got talent already hahahahaha.

Lilibele and Blossom

Have i tell you that i'm totally in love with the dolls of Robin? The first time i saw them on the blog of Dorthe i instantly fell in love with them. They are all so special with their lovely faces and Robins is always telling a little story about them. So cute. So i bought Lilibele, i fell for her beautiful hairdo and the little bee in her hair. If you want to know where she is going to you have to read the story on Robins blog. Robin could not let Lilibele travel alone and sent Blossom with her. Little fabric book

Yesterday morning i decided to clean up my hobby room. What could i do better this day cause outside it was raining again this summer. Would like to throw away all the little bits of fabric and lace, leftovers from previous projects wich i never throw away but are now growing out of my room. But yeh know me.. again i find it difficult to throw them away you never know???? SO i want to do something with it at least with a little bit of them. I started with a little fabric book to use them and it still was raining outside so i finnished the whole book. It measures 5 x 3 inches without every thing that hangs out. The cover.

Ruffled Bag

Finally it is hot and warm in the Netherlands this summer. I know you all in the USA has to much sun and a very dry summer but here in europe we desperately needed some warmth and sun. Finally we can sit in our gardens and enjoy the sun, sumer is already halfway gone before we could do that. But I also had to do some creatve things. I walked around for weeks with the idea of making a ruffled bag but couldn't find the tme for it. Always the same problem wih us creative girls... time. I made this bag using a lot of old and new lace, used my embroidery machine and make a lot of ruffles..haha.

I love summer flowers and every week i have a fresh bouquet in my kitchen. Can you smell them??

A beautiful Gift.

It's a long time since my last post. I have been on vacation to France and after coming home it was very busy. Lots of hospital visits and beeing busy with my children and grandchildren. I love summertime but it can be very hectic sometimes. When i came home i received a most beautifl gift from Dorthe. She is so creative and makes the most beautiful Dolls and mixed media collages. Visit her lovely blog here. I couldn't wait to open the package and the first thing i saw was this beautiful card.

After opening the other beauiful wrapped packages i was really thrilled. Dorthe spoiled me with one of her unique angel dolls as only she can make them. She has a lovely friendly face and her dress is made from the most beautiful old lace. Even her wings are made from lace.

I had to do this. Lilla from the blog Just Lilla placed this week the most beautiful french picture with the question - to us bloggers - to make something with it. I made this soap gift cover with two little lavender bags inside. For the outside i used the picture and for the inside old french linen.
