Hey there! My name is Angela Zhang and I have the unfortunate habit of smudging my pencil drawings. So I have to fix them in Photoshop.
I created this blog in 2014 to share my art process. Recently I’ve been slowing down and putting more thought into making stuff like these:

The collection of drawings is called Shapes of Nature and it’s about plants and animals surviving with the things that us humans have once owned and discarded. I started working on the drawings in 2020 as a way to keep sane. Shapes of Nature is gradually growing on my main website.

My style has changed drastically over the years, yet the quest to create thoughtful, imaginary places remains the same. I pencil the drawings in gratuitous detail and add colours with pixels.
If you’d like to delve deeper into my process, feel free to explore the posts below!
