SL hates me right now. I have been trying to upload a photo, and I keep crashing whenever I attempt upload. I’ve changed it to different formats, made it incredibly small, but still, I crash. Ugh.

Here are a *few* of this week’s new releases. I have done so much shopping and styling lately, that I am in a style rut. My head is bogged, I have few ideas now. And after the 70% off sale at Stiletto Moody, I can finally say, “I’m tired of shopping” :O Blasphemy! I’m just lazy, and my head hurts. I tried on all 12 skins and the variety is incredible. The skins graduate in tone very subtly, and the lips are so sumptuous in that very autumn-like shade. On the eyes are a complementary shadow, and the skin is so supple and realistic..it’s such a great skin and what a steal that they are free! Here’s a preview of 6 of the tones:

So, after weeks of debate of whether I want to use my dark skin as a representation of myself in SL, I thought it would be fun to use the shade up in the makeup line, which is Suntan at Lelutka. I like that it offers both a dark and blonde hairbase and eyebrows, because especially with the blonde, I look so so much like my RL mother! I think I’ll wear the suntan for a while, wearing the dark when I feel like being “tan” haha. My RL color is between suntan and dark at Lelutka, but the suntan really does look like mom!
I grabbed the new Chantkare dress, wore it as a jacket and paired with some Niven pants. The Chantkare dress is so perfect as a look in honor of my mom, because she absolutely adores leopard print! If she saw this look, she’d love it.

Wear It Pink Day officially took place on October 29, 2010, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. The campaign seeks to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research and how it affects not BC victims, but the people in their lives as well. For Wear It Pink Day, a small group of coordinators, including Sweetest Sands and CindyS Tatham put on a fashion show and auction…all funds going toward breast cancer research. I won a few items and walked during the second day of the auction. Out of the several items I won, wore, I will show you three.

This week, the fabulous Unico Solo of CStar released 3 new skins – 2 female and 1 male – a bikini, and a set of eyes!
I commend Unico for not only releasing a variety of items, but for her attention to skin tone. I don’t think I’ve seen any other skin brand with so many colors! There is the palest shade of white to the deepest of ebony and varying shades in between. The tones could suit virtually anyone. I rarely see skins that remotely resemble my RL skin tone, which has been a frustration for me since day 1 of using SL (I even have a tough time finding RL makeup that matches me!), so it has been a sigh of relief that CStar has a lot to offer. The quality of each skin is incredible…it’s like looking at the texture of real skin…especially the dark tones…they really look like beautiful black skin…which is so hard to find in SL. Thumbs up for CStar!
I only bought the two female high fashion skins (for obvious reasons), and the bikini. I’m terribly afraid to change my eyes…sorry!
Kitari is a gorgeous sequined strapless bikini that comes in several vibrant jewel tones. The one modeled is Midnight. The first skin modeled is Charlize, which is a beautiful makeup with shimmery pink blush and white highlighting on the cheeks, and ruby red lips that are asking to be kissed.
And then there’s Onyx, which is a deliciously dark and sexy makeup with black glossy lips and modern black and white eyeshadow and liner. All the skin tones look absolutely amazing in this, but my personal favorite tones for this makeup are Blacks…the the dark lips and eyes just look stunning and perfect on such deep skin.
But don’t wait…hurry before they’re gone! CStar is THE home to limited skins…that means that there are only a few in quantity and once each skin is sold out, that’s it. That makes these skins incredibly exclusive and unique apart from the makeup looks. If you are an owner of a CStar skin, you are guaranteed that most others in SL won’t have the same skin as you. I adore bright colors but today I decided to go with subtle earthy tones. I must say, at every store I’ve been to these past few weeks, I’ve wanted to buy out the entire collection, haha. If only…
The flouncy One Shoulder Lace Dress from *COCO* is incredibly versatile…pieces can be worn as a blouse as shown, as a dress, or as a long shirt that could be worn with leggings and jeans. You may also wear it as a half top. It’s incredibly cute and feminine!
Two of my items are from The Dressing Room (This and TDR Blue are AMAZING!!) – The green SMS mini and [glow] Studio Lowicz Peacock Wood bracelets, which are both green and fabulous. The hunter green hue of the skirt and feathers compliment the beige of the top very nicely and emphasizes the earthy look.
The rest of the look is set off with Lelutka Saffron Heels, [ORTA] Estelle bag (free suscribo gift), and the vintage styled Jennyfly hair by Fashionably Dead.
Who knew earthy could be so chic?
My my my, it has been so long since I last posted. My Mac is in dire need of repair (I’m bringing it to the Apple Store next Sunday!) and the computer I’ve been borrowing the last few months is really no good for SL. Anywho, I missed SL fashion ALOT and I decided to just go for it and start blogging again. I apologize for the horrid pictures 🙂 I’ve decided that as a model, I really want to just convey my real self. I love vintage and I love simple contemporary, and I love blending the two. It’s a modern take on classic elegance, but I also don’t want to look like an old lady. I’m 21 in RL so I’m going to reflect my personal RL style in SL. I don’t think any of the items in this post are new…just I love them, and I love them together! Here’s to summer time fun.
