Theory is the Obama regime does not want to rock the boat when it comes to our Southern neighbor in fear of upsetting the Latino vote who can make an impact in the upcoming mid-term elections. If Obama put pressure on Mexico many here in America, illegals included could go against the Liberals in elections. Published May 19, 2014
The mother of a U.S. Marine being held in a Mexican prison on weapons charges told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren Monday that her son is “not a criminal,” and she is hoping President Obama will respond to his plight.
Jill Tahmooressi said on “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” that she recently saw her son Andrew after he was transferred to a new prison. She said she was able to bring him clothes and books but not food, and that her son told her he was always hungry.
Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, 25, has claimed he was headed to dinner in San Ysidro, California on March 31 when he mistakenly wound up at a border crossing point in Tijuana. According to his mother, Tahmooressi said he made a wrong turn, and Mexican authorities found three guns in his truck.
In an interview on the Mexican border, Jill Tahmooressi told Van Susteren her son would have never intended of smuggling or selling his guns, adding he had them for self-defense.
“He needed those firearms for his own sense of security,” she said. “He never – not for any price – would he have sold those guns.”

LOS ANGELES
U.S. federal agents have uncovered two drug-smuggling tunnels underneath the U.S.-Mexico border, both surfacing in San Diego-area warehouses and equipped with rail systems for moving contraband, officials said on Friday.
The discovery led to the arrest of a 73-year-old woman accused of running one of the warehouses connected to a drug smuggling operation, according to a joint news release by four federal agencies.
The tunnels were discovered as part of a five-month investigation by the so-called San Diego Tunnel Task Force.
Federal law enforcement officials said the first tunnel, which connects a warehouse in Tijuana, Mexico, with one in an industrial park in the border community of Otay Mesa, is about 600 yards long and is furnished with lighting, a crude rail system and wooden trusses.
The passageway is accessed via a 70-foot shaft secured by a cement cover and includes a pulley system on the U.S. side apparently intended to hoist contraband up into the warehouse.
The second tunnel was even more sophisticated, built with a multi-tiered electric rail system and an array of ventilation equipment.

OUTRAGE: U.S. Marine Being Held in Brutal Mexican Prison – For Making a ‘Wrong Turn’ (Video) | Top Right News

So our last report saw Mexican troops invading our borders — even drawing weapons on our agents on U.S. soil — and facing absolutely no consequences by the Obama Adminstration.
But let one American make a wrong turn into Mexico — and there will be hell to pay.
That’s exactly what happened to a U.S. Marine veteran last month, after he accidentally drove into Mexico with three legally owned guns in his truck. And he has been rotting in a brutal Mexican jail in Tijuana ever since.
California Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter sent a letter Friday to Secretary of State John Kerry asking him to secure the release of Afghanistan war veteran Andrew Tahmooressi, who had just moved to San Diego from Florida and had all his belongings in his truck, including his pistol, shotgun and rifle, when he missed the last U.S. exit on April 1, forcing him to cross the border.
Road closures because of checkpoints and construction added to the confusion, and there was no opportunity for drivers to turn around, Hunter added.
