Tucker Carlson gave a surprising reason for the U.S. to invade Venezuela - LGBTQ Nation
As justifications for Donald Trump’s invasion of Venezuela proliferate and change, a video of former Fox host Tucker Carlson in which he claims that the U.S. wants Venezuela to legalize marriage for same-sex couples has resurfaced.
“We can safely discount democracy as a reason for effecting regime change in Venezuela,” Carlson said on his podcast, The Tucker Carlson Show, in late 2025. “It’s possible we’re mad that he doesn’t allow gay marriage. That is a distinct possibility, but no one will say that out loud.”
Perhaps one of the reasons that no one is saying that out loud is because Trump himself doesn’t support marriage equality, so it’s unlikely he would have launched an invasion that has already killed 80 people and arrested Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro in order to impose it on another nation.
