If Trump wins Tuesday, Cher wants to "leave the planet." Barbara Streisand wants to move to Australia. Regarding Streisand, Ann Althouse writes,

...But you're already up on a cliff in Malibu. What difference does it make if you go farther away? The difference seems to be: I want to engage in conspicuously snubbing these awful people, the Americans. Yes, I've already isolated myself from them, and I'm perched on the edge of the left coast. But I need to do something more to make news of my snub for you people I've never wanted anywhere near me.

Cher to Hillary: I got you, Babe.

Ann Althouse writes about Cher's rant to a crowd attending a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Ann links to the video, and transcribes some of it. Cher rants,

"I know that if he got into office, our world would be the worst place. I don’t think we could imagine how bad it could get. If breaking news ever happened and he had to go to the podium, we would just all go... fuck."

Ann's final comment:

Big laugh. The irony of rough speech to denounce a man who's mostly denounced for his rough speech is beyond the realm of the Cher comfort zone.
