Say one thing; do another!

While campaigning recently in New Hampshire, Elizabeth Warren said she would continue to "say no to PACs." However, Emily Larsen points out in the Washington Examiner,
Less than two weeks later, both Warren and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar are accepting help from super PACs.

Persist PAC filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday and then placed about $800,000 in pro-Warren ads in Nevada media markets ahead of Saturday's caucuses.

A super PAC called Kitchen Table Conversations formed last week and then placed $1.1 million worth of pro-Klobuchar ads in Nevada and South Carolina.

...A super PAC called Unite the Country formed to support former Vice President Joe Biden in October. VoteVets, a super PAC that supports veterans, endorsed former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg in December and has run ads supporting his candidacy in early voting states. A nursing union super PAC supports Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and a "dark money" nonprofit group, Our Revolution, is supporting Sanders's candidacy through funding grassroots efforts.

In PowerLine, John Hinderaker explains why Elizabeth Warren
is a corrupt and deeply dishonest person who must never be allowed near the levers of executive power.

Some people can lie very easily.

Elizabeth Warren is caught denying sending her son to a private school. Greg P. has the story here in Twitchy.

What a liar!

Ace features this story this morning:
New York Times Reporter Had Public Records Proving Elizabeth Warren's Claim About Being Fired Due to Pregnancy False, But Refused to Report It
Ace links to a report by Jack Crowe and Tobias Hoonhut in the National Review.
A reporter who now works for the New York Times failed to report on public records, which he obtained in April, that cut against Senator Elizabeth Warren’s (D., Mass.) claim that she was fired from a teaching position in 1971 due to pregnancy discrimination.

Reid Epstein, who was then working for the Wall Street Journal, filed an open-records request with the Riverdale Board of Education on April 2 seeking “to inspect or obtain” copies of public records relating to Warren’s time teaching at Riverdale during the 1970-1971 school year. In response to his request, Epstein on April 10 received school-board minutes that challenge Warren’s story, according to documents obtained by National Review through the New Jersey Open Records Act.

Epstein, who moved to the Times on April 19, never broke the story.

Earlier this month, the Washington Free Beacon obtained the aforementioned school-board minutes showing that the Riverdale Board of Education had approved a second-year teaching contract for a young Elizabeth Warren in April 1971. Rather than accepting the board’s offer of continued employment, Warren chose to tender her resignation, which was “accepted with regret,” according to minutes from a school board meeting held two months after the offer was extended.

...“I was pregnant, but nobody knew it. And then a couple of months later when I was six months pregnant and it was pretty obvious, the principal called me in, wished me luck, and said he was going to hire someone else for the job,” Warren told CBS News on October 7.

...Warren has repeatedly described on the campaign trail how she was “shown the door” after one year because her pregnancy became visible and routinely claims that the experience informed her commitment to gender equality and her decision to enter politics.

Ace of Spades sumarizes:
And the left fights for more gate-keeping by social media monopolies to censor stories they deem "false" or "misleading."

But you can see they think any story that hurts Democrats or socialism is false or misleading, because it diverts people away from their Glorious Socialist Future.

If the left had its way, the Free Beacon would not have been permitted to run their story.

This is an attempt at actual totalitarianism. They want to do it. The social media monopolists want to do it too.

They're just not sure they can get away with it yet.

"Transparent catering to teachers unions"

In the Daily Caller, Peter Hasson reports,
Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is pledging to crack down on school choice if elected, despite the fact that she sent her own son to an elite private school, publicly available records

...Warren has pledged to reduce education options for families, but she chose to send her son Alexander to Kirby Hall, an elite private school near Austin.

Elizabeth Warren showing contempt for men

In Commentary, Christine Rosen wonders what Elizabeth Warren thinks of men.
...at a recent CNN-sponsored town hall on LGBTQ issues, she let slip an emotion that she hasn’t previously shown toward men: contempt. Answering a question (which turned out to be planted) about how she would talk to someone who is opposed to gay marriage, Warren responded, “Well, I’m going to assume it’s a guy who said that.” She then added, “And I’m going to say, ‘Then just marry one woman—I’m cool with that.’” Then came her contemptuous “zinger”: “Assuming you can find one.” As the Washington Post described, “Warren turned, took a few steps and smiled broadly as the room exploded in laughter.” Soon her campaign team “was crowing that the clip had garnered more than 12 million views on Twitter.”

If this is what Warren’s campaign team thinks is worth crowing about, then they clearly haven’t learned anything since Hillary Clinton dismissed a large swath of the country as “deplorables.”

Casual misandry might play well on Twitter (and among the Democratic base), but it’s insulting to a large number of voters Warren will need to persuade in a general election if she secures the Democratic nomination.

In keeping with the gentle treatment Warren has experienced from the media, few mainstream outlets (with the exception of the Post) even bothered to question whether her remarks were offensive or point out the irony that she was calling out intolerance by being intolerant herself.

"Further evidence of her blatant dishonesty."

In PowerLine, Paul Mirengoff writes about Elizabeth Warren's latest attempt to claim victimhood.
...But the victimhood of others has no relevance to the key issue of whether Warren is lying when she claims to be a victim. I don’t doubt that in the past, many women lost jobs because of pregnancy. I don’t doubt that there are many Indians.

Warren’s problem is that she is not part of either group, but claims to be.

Fired because pregnant, or lacking the required credentials?

Whenever possible, Elizabeth Warren seems to prefer casting herself as a victim. Then, at a later date, the story changes. Peter Hasson has the latest example in the Daily Caller.

The essence of liberalism

Jeffrey Folks writes in the American Thinker,
The essence of liberalism, as I see it, is a lack of restraint rooted in egotism and self. The Warren presidential campaign is a perfect example. If elected, Elizabeth Warren will, according to her own admission, attempt to closely regulate all large businesses, eliminate fracking and the jobs that go with it, provide Medicare for All, dictate health care decisions (including practically unlimited abortion "rights"), eliminate capital punishment, raise taxes on the wealthy and on corporations, provide free college, cancel student debt, eliminate the Electoral College, ban assault weapons, open our borders, legalize marijuana, and significantly cut the defense budget.

Elizabeth Warren: "I'm sick of freeloading billionaires!"

In the New York Times, Matt Stevens reports on a feud between Elizabeth Warren and Mark Zuckerberg.
Ms. Warren argues that the tech giants have essentially developed monopolies — they have “bulldozed competition, used our private information for profit, and tilted the playing field against everyone else.”

Her plan calls for legislation that would prohibit platforms like Amazon from both offering a marketplace for commerce and participating in that marketplace; appointing regulators to undo some tech mergers; and rolling back some acquisitions by tech giants, such as Facebook’s deals for WhatsApp and Instagram.

Later Tuesday, she pressed the issue, firing off a five-tweet thread that began: “Let’s talk a bit about my plan to #BreakUpBigTech and why it’s got Mark Zuckerberg so worked up.”

“Facebook is doing pretty well right now,” Ms. Warren said, citing its acquisitions as evidence that tech companies had amassed significant power and face little competition.

“Imagine Facebook and Instagram trying to outdo each other to protect your privacy and keep misinformation out of your feed, instead of working together to sell your data, inundate you with misinformation, and undermine our election security,” she said. “That’s why we need to #BreakUpBigTech.”

The shrews are due!

In Town Hall, Kurt Schlichter is thinking Elizabeth Warren might become the Democrat candidate in 2020. However,
...grown men and women neither need nor want some National Nag pestering them to be better people. For one thing, we’re already manifestly better than the cast of weirdos, losers and pinko mutations that make up Warren’s motley base.

At least Joe Biden seems to know how to deal with normal people, or at least he did before he began his Botox’d strange-o act over the last few months. Regardless, the regular guy act was always a front – the real Joe Biden is just another DC insider who plowed the field for his ultra-achiever son Snortie to occupy a seat on some Ukrainian oligarch’s gas company at north of 50K a month when he wasn’t face-planted in a heap of Bolivia’s Best and/or working his bro’s widow.

But at least Gropey J could fake being a guy you might conceivably have a beer with. When Warren starts talking about having a beer it's enough to make you give up drinking. She makes me repelled by the thought of a cold, frosty brew – cold turkey inspired by a cold turkey. This is not a great candidate.

And she’s from Massachusetts, for Pete’s sake. For 50-plus years, the state with the Dropkick Murphy’s soundtrack has produced a non-stop series of electoral losers. Mike Dukakis? He managed to lose because someone told him he’d look butch in a tank. John Kerry. Sheesh, he managed to lose to W. Oh, and who can forget Mitt Romney? That Irish Setter-tormenting Fredocon nerd managed to lose to Candy Crowley even before he lost to Barack “I Bought a Mansion by the Seashore Because Climate Change Is a Hoax” Obama. The last guy from Boston who pulled it off was JFK, but at least he had scoring with Marilyn Monroe going for him.

Maybe the Democrat base thinks that after losing with their last unlikeable shrew, the shrews are due. But Elizabeth Warren is so uniquely unlikeable to Normal Americans – you know, ones who don’t wander about blue coastal cities introducing themselves with their pronouns – that this would be a McGovernesque rout if states like California, New York and the cold one up in the corner with the maple syrup weren’t so full of idiots. The fight is going to come down to a handful of states that liberals typically fly over and that are filled with people liberals despise. You know, the people who actually do the work that keeps us warm, fed and safe…the enemies of the Democrat Party.

An emphatic no, then quickly backs up
