Our Second Anniversary

FYI:
Awalnya sempat bingung mau nulis apa untuk ‘ngerayain’ post ke-100 di blog ini. Akhirnya dapat moment yang pas. This precious moment below is worth to be written to ‘celebrate’ the 100th post. Walaupun 2 hari telat nulis, hehe.

It’s been two years since we committed to love each other.
Bukan waktu yang sebentar.
Bukan hanya seneng-seneng didalamnya.
But, I (we) thank God for what He has done to us.

LDR (Long Distance Relationship) ada enaknya, ada gak enaknya.
Kali ini enaknya, bisa bikin surprise! Hahaha.
Untungnya lagi, 20 Oktober tahun ini pas di hari Sabtu.
Ah, it feels sooo good! Rasanya semesta berpihak pada kami, hehe.

Jadi, aku berencana bikin surprise di Sabtu pagi.
Datang ke kosannya. Itu aja? Gak dong.
Plus video stop motion yang aku bikin sebulan yang lalu.

Jumat malam aku berangkat dari Jakarta ke Bandung. Berangkat jam 9 malam, sampai di Bandung jam 12 malam. Dijemput sama Geizo di Ciwalk dan nginap di tempatnya, di Setiabudi. Pagi-pagi jam 7 aku berangkat dari Setiabudi ke Dayeuhkolot. FYI, senang sekali bisa bangun dan hirup udara segar Bandung. Dan aku menikmati naik angkot sendirian hari itu.

Jam 8.15 sampai juga di Dayeuhkolot dan langsung ke kosan Donny. Sambil deg-degan. Gelo, kayak baru awal-awal jadian aja pake deg-degan. Err! Sampai di kosannya, ngetuk-ngetuk pintu. Dia bukain pintu sambil senyum-senyum. Oh God, I would do anything to see that smile again! Hahaha. Rasanya saat itu juga capek dan ngantuknya ilang seketika. Terbayar!

Ternyata waktu itu Donny lagi googling “Ngerayain Anniversary”. Hahahaha! *ngakak*

I pray that we both will grow in God’s love day by day.
I pray that God’s name will be lifted up through us.
I pray that God’s will be done in this relationship.
I thank God. I thank God for having him.

Tentang cinta muda-mudi Saya setuju dengan ulasan C.S Lewis dalam bukunya Mere Christianity tentang perasaan yang berbunga-bunga ketika jatuh cinta. Saya juga pernah mengalaminya dan penjelasan Lewis tentang hal ini masuk akal. Berikut ulasan Lewis tentang getaran hati :

Dalam bidang kehidupan yang satu ini (cinta), seperti halnya dalam setiap bidang kehidupan lainnya, getaran hati muncul pada awalnya dan tidak bertahan lama. Jenis getaran hati yang dirasakan oleh seorang anak laki-laki saat pertama kali membayangkan dirinya bisa terbang tidak akan terus bertahan ketika ia sudah memasuki Angkatan Udara. Getaran dan sedang benar-benar belajar terbang. Getaran hati yang anda rasakan saat pertama kali melihat tempat-tempat yang sangat indah memudar ketika anda benar-benar pergi untuk tinggal disitu. Memang, orang mendapat kesan dari buku-buku, film, majalah, atau apapun bahwa jika kita telah menikahi orang yang tepat kita bisa berharap untuk terus dilanda asmara selamanya. Akibatnya ketika kita mendapati bahwa kita tidak mengalaminya, kita berpikir hal ini membuktikan bahwa kita telah membuat kesalahan dan berharap untuk mengubahnya.
Tetapi tentunya berhenti dilanda asmara tidak berarti berhenti mencintai. Buat saya mencintai adalah sebuah keputusan yang kita ambil yang diikat oleh komitmen. Dan ketika kita berbica komitmen maka dalam hal suka ataupun duka kita tetap menjalaninya. Kita bisa mencintai satu dengan yang lain bahkan pada saat kita tidak saling menyukai sebagaimana kita mencintai diri kita sendiri bahkan ketika kita tidak menyukai diri kita.

What is L.O.V.E?

it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
LOVE NEVER FAILS.


This is February. Talk about this month meant to talk about LOVE. And Bible verse above is my favourite Bible verse about love. Well, gak semuanya mudah untuk dilakukan.
Nah, top 3 yang paling susah (versi-ku) :
1. It does not envy
Tau arti envy kan ya? Diterjemahan lain, ditulis “It does not jealous”. Kenapa ini paling susah? Gak ngerti juga, haha. Pokoknya susaaah aja dilakukan. Sebenernya ini bertentangan juga dengan kalimat “Cemburu itu tanda sayang”. Oke lah, tapi disini diajarkan lagi kalo kita benar-benar mengasihi orang lain, gak ada alasan untuk cemburu yang berlebihan apalagi tanpa alasan yang jelas. Ayat ini juga ngajarin supaya ga jadi seseorang yang posesif :D

2. It is not self-seeking
Diterjemahan lain versi bahasa Inggris, disebut “It is not selfish”. Versi bahasa Indonesianya “Kasih tidak sombong”. Aku lebih suka versi yang “not selfish”. Lebih PAS! Karena emang kasih itu gak egois. Kenapa seperti itu? Karena kasih itu memberi dan bukan menerima. Bukankah kita lebih senang kalau diberi sesuatu sama orang lain? Lagi-lagi, disini diajarin berbeda. Kita diajarkan untuk lebih banyak memberi dan tidak egois hanya ingin menerima saja. Pertanyaannya bukan “Keuntungan apa yang bisa aku dapat darinya jika aku mengasihinya?”. Tetapi “Keuntungan apa yang bisa kita beri untuk orang lain jika kita mengasihinya dan membangun relasi dengannya?”

3. It always trusts
Kalo terjemahan bahasa Indonesianya sih bilang “Kasih itu percaya segala sesuatu”. Kata “always” dan “segala sesuatu” pas banget kalo digabungin. Ini lebih berhubungan ke poin pertama sih, menurutku. Kalo kita bisa selalu percaya segala sesuatu (*di versi lain, “has faith in all things”), poin pertama tadi bisa diminimalisasi.

Nah, emang sih semuanya berat. Tapi semoga kita sama-sama belajar untuk bisa mengasihi orang lain. Jadi ingat lagu tadi pagi di gereja. Liriknya ngena banget..
