Our Global Chief AI Officer, Jodie Wallis, recently took part in The Hinton Lectures, an event dedicated to advancing public understanding and scientific discourse around AI safety. We are proud to be a presenting sponsor of the series, which is named after Nobel Laureate Professor Geoffrey Hinton, a renowned AI expert. Jodie joined a panel discussion, sharing insights on why governance and trust must scale alongside innovation. She also spoke about our Responsible AI Principles, which is a framework for designing, testing, and deploying AI tools responsibly. Earlier this year, we ranked first in life insurance for AI maturity in the inaugural Evident AI Index, and placed among the top five across the insurance industry overall.

On the heels of sharing our refreshed enterprise strategy, I've been reflecting on the hard work across our organization that has made it all possible. From announcing a joint venture with Mahindra to expand into the India insurance market, to delivering record Q3 2025 results and launching the Manulife Longevity Institute - it has been a busy and productive month at Manulife. And it took a dedicated group of colleagues working around the clock to get the job done. Just a few of them are pictured here and I want to thank each of you for your efforts and tenacity. Our winning team makes it all possible and I've been proud to celebrate our culture in all its diversity by participating in Diwali, welcoming students and visitors from around the world to our offices in Toronto, and joining one of our many winter socials. Just last week, I was honoured to attend the Valuable 500 SYNC25 Accountability Summit in Tokyo to reinforce our commitment to embedding accessibility and inclusion across our business. Great work to everyone involved in these many celebrations and accomplishments. I can’t wait to see where we go next.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we’ve partnered with Mammoth Climate, a platform that makes learning about environmental and climate action engaging and rewarding. Through interactive challenges and educational content, our colleagues are learning about environmental topics they care about, taking steps to reduce their impact, and earning points that can be redeemed for rewards that help us give back to global communities through donations and tree planting initiatives. Through Mammoth, we’re empowering colleagues to make an impact on issues that matter to them, such as reducing their carbon footprint through challenges focused on waste reduction and sustainable transportation.
