GMF 2026: Your ideas deserve the spotlight!
Under the theme "Journalism out loud", GMF 2026 brings together journalists, media professionals, creators and civil society actors from across the globe. On June 23 and 24, 2026, they will gather in Bonn to explore how journalism can stay bold, credible and democratic in an age of disinformation, polarization, and rapid technological change.

Why contribute?
GMF is all about participation and fresh perspectives. We’re looking for interactive formats that go beyond traditional presentations - from hands-on workshops and co-creation spaces to live demos or podcast recordings. Show what you do, how you do it, and why it matters.
What we're looking for
We are seeking sessions that
- are shaped by more than one voice and reflect diverse people, backgrounds, and perspectives,
- are timely and connected to current challenges in journalism,
- offer clear relevance and value for GMF participants, and
- put strong emphasis on engaging formats and thoughtful implementation.
