Second Life Monthly Maximum Concurrency Peaks For 2025

Here are the monthly maximum concurrency peaks in Second Life during 2025. The highest peak for the Second Life user concurrency was when it reached 49, 798 on 24th March 2025.

The start of 2025 saw high peaks during peak times then it went down during the summer months then it started to bounce back since September 2025. The 2025 concurrency levels were slightly under the 2024 levels on reflection.

2026 Second Life Concurrency Update

The API data feeds are still not working at the moment to share the current concurrency levels. December 2025 is missing alot of data now so it’s impossible to say what’s been happening.

Hopefully the lab will fix this in early 2026. I will share updates when I hear more.

Second Life Grid Size During 2025

2025 has been a bad year for Second Life growth for both Private Estates and Linden Owned regions. The grid is now smaller slightly compared with the start of 2025 which is not a surprise really. The lab retired the old Linden Home regions which has effected the stats for sure. The cost of living or lack of interest has seen Private Estates decline during 2025 in Second Life.

Hopefully the grid will show some more positive growth during 2026 and 2027. It would be good to see the region numbers go back up to what they were back in early January 2025. It’s going to take some time possibly most of 2026 to go above the older earlier 2025 stats level (likely summer 2026).

It’s hard to tell at the moment how 2026 will go with the region statistics in Second Life. I will blog about region stats through 2026 so stay tuned for that. See the January 2025 vs June 2025 vs December 2025 Second Life region grid statistics below.

  • Total Regions: 26, 884

Second Life Now At 620,000 Monthly Active Users

Brad Oberwager recently mentioned that Second Life now has 620, 000 monthly active users (updated MAU number) which is up from 600, 000 back in October 2025.

I guess this is good news that Second Life monthly active users are increasingly on the rise. Let’s hope the monthly active users increases more through 2026 and 2027+.

December 2025 MAU Update

Second Life is now at 620,000 monthly active users. Going from 600K to 620K MAU isn’t noticeable, but it’s a lot better than shrinking

Second Life MAU Timeline

  • 2024: 500K
  • October 2025: 600K
  • December 2025: 620K

Let’s hope 2026 will be a strong year for user growth in Second Life. From Project Zero to Second Life Mobile this is where growth will come from I think.

Once the API data feeds are back it will be much easier to track what’s going on with the monthly grid stats.

More updates soon.
