  February is a short month with some birthdays and school holidays so I guess I should be expecting much sewing time. I'll try to focus on some of the projects that I have got out already... I didn't graduate to get a PHD in 2021, will I manage in 2022? Quilting Gail is launching the challenge again. The idea is to finish 12 projects that are identified at the beginning of the year and also to finish all the projects started in 2022 to avoid creating new UFOs. Of course my list of UFOs is well over 12 (nearer 40 and that's just for the quilting...)but if I could at least finish 12, that would be nice progress... 1.  Super Mario quilt (started 2012) - this one needs the binding and burying all the loose threads 2. New year, new start! Let's hope I get this renewed energy to finally get back to some sewing. I'm missing not sewing but don't seem to have any energy or time for it since we moved. I'm not sure how much sewing I should plan while my sewing space is not set up, hoping that this is the only reason why I haven't been able to do hardly anything in the last few months... but on the other hand, maybe it would help to have define projects to work on...  Anyway, beyond continuing to settle in our house and new environment, let's join Yvonne's Planning Party and look at what would be nice to achieve this year... I participated the last 3 years but I haven't necessarily been very successful... M y sewing space is still nowhere near ready to be set up and there are still lots to do/set up before there's time to play....  Maybe I will finally find the time (and energy) to move my nearly finished along?    I really doubt my sewing machine will make it out of her box before the end of the month sadly, my sewing space is nowhere near ready to be set up and there are much bigger priorities to deal with. Maybe I will at least find the time to work on some hand sewing projects, as long as I can locate the necessary supplies....   March, really? Well, after over 2 months of all of us at home (working and schooling), we should finally get a minimal sense of normality again when the kids return to school on 8th. It will so good for everyone really. They will finally have proper lessons again and mix with their peers and their teachers. They desperately need the interactions and the education. As for us, we will have a breather during their school day and it should be much easier to concentrate on a task without interruptions. Not too mention that the amount of cooking I will need to produce will dramatically reduce, yeah! Will I have more sewing time, who knows? More energy to sew, who knows? but let's dream anyway ;-) Quilting: 1. Super Mario quilt - I think I still need 2 more blocks 2.  Halo quilt sew along - I need to cut the arcs to be able to continue 3.  Boho Heart  quilt -along - I have started (late) and have nearly completed 2 out of 3 weeks so far, let's hope I don't fall behin...

How can we nearing the end of this oh, so strange year! It seems like yesterday and like forever that our life was turned upside down by the pandemic. Yet here we are, planning for Christmas again, not the same Christmas as usual, not the same craziness and business as usual, but Christmas all the same. A time for family usually but this year will be different for sure. I need to finish the projects I am hoping to gift later this month but my machine fell ill yesterday so I am not sure how this will happen. Quilting: 1.
