Wassap guys. I’m new to GitHub and really excited to start using it. I want to set things up properly so that I can make the most of the platform. For someone who is just beginning, what are the first steps I should take? I’d love to hear from the community about what worked best for you when you were just starting out. |

Heyyy wassap. When I first started, these steps helped me to get into the github: First, set up your profile – add a profile picture, bio, and maybe a pinned repo so people know who you are and what you’re working on. Don’t feel like you need to master everything at once. Start small, and you’ll pick up the rest naturally as you go. |

Heyyy wassap.
When I first started, these steps helped me to get into the github:
First, set up your profile – add a profile picture, bio, and maybe a pinned repo so people know who you are and what you’re working on.
Secondly, learn the basics of Git – understanding git clone, git add, git commit, and git push will make things much easier.
Third, create your first repo – even a simple project (like a notes repo or a “hello world” app) is a great way to practice.
Don’t feel like you need to master everything at once. Start small, and you’ll pick up the rest naturally as you go.
