Before you say apply it formally on the official site let me tell you, I've tried and it's been over a month and now I'm starting to get really anxious.
Summary of the issue
I am unable to move forward with my account reinstatement because I am stuck in a loop between:

• A support ticket that I cannot update, and
• The Support portal telling me I cannot open a new ticket because it detects a duplicate.

Timeline
I submitted an account reinstatement request over a month ago.

• I received one email from [email protected]
• but when I tried replying, it said replies are not accepted through that channel.
• My ticket later showed as declined, but the system still treats it as active, preventing new submissions.
• When attempting to submit another appeal, the system states:
• “Cannot proceed with duplicate ticket” and
• “Support capacity is full.”

Impact

I’m an amateur cybersecurity student with 14 repositories, including projects I use in my resume and coursework.
If I can’t regain access, I will have to rebuild everything from scratch, which is extremely discouraging and disruptive.

Request

• Could a GitHub staff member or community moderator please:
• Escalate my original ticket, or
• Clear the duplicate flag so I can open a proper reinstatement appeal?
• My suspended account is: github.com/PaweesRaag
• I’m fully willing to comply with GitHub’s Terms of Service and provide any additional information needed.

GitHub staff don’t handle account-reinstatement cases through Discussions, and no one here (including moderators) can view, reopen, or clear flags on Support tickets. Only GitHub Support can modify or escalate an account-related appeal.

What you’re experiencing is a known limitation of the Support system:

• If a reinstatement ticket is closed but still marked as “active,”
• the portal will block new submissions as “duplicate,”
• and there’s no way for users to reset that state themselves.

What you can do:

1. Submit a new request using the “Account Support” form while signed out
   → https://support.github.com/contact/account
   (Submitting while logged out often bypasses duplicate-ticket detection.)
2. Use a different contact email only for the support form.
   This does not affect your GitHub account, but it allows Support to create a fresh ticket when the original one is stuck.
3. Check spam/junk folders for messages from GitHub Support — replies always come from a no-reply address, and updates are visible only in the ticket portal.
4. Wait for Support to process the new ticket.
   Community members cannot accelerate reinstatement reviews.

Unfortunately, no one in Discussions has the ability to reinstate the account, access the ticket system, or clear the duplicate flag, so the only path forward is to open a new appeal through the method above.
