The applicable timezone is the timezone that you have set in your GitHub account. You can view the applicable timezone by going to your GitHub profile and clicking on the Settings tab. In the Settings tab, scroll down to the Time zone section and you will see the timezone that is currently set for your account. I have a similar problem. After students accept their assignment the due date is given using UTC time rather than the time zone that our university is in (Pacific - US). This could be really confusing to some students and I would like to make sure that the due date that appears on the page students see after they accept an assignment uses a time zone that is familiar to them. How can I do that? |

Any updates to this issue? I've set my account and GH class's timezone, but there still doesn't appear to be a way to switch out of UTC for due dates. Any leads would be appreciated. |

When creating a GitHub Classroom assignment it is possible to set a submission deadline, as seen in the following screenshot.
What is the date and time's timzone? How can I view the applicable timezone? How can I set and change the timezone?
