Fog at Quindalup
This morning there was a very heavy fog around Dunsborough/Quindalup and probably to Busselton and most of the vineyard areas. It was a bit hard to know where to go for the best effect – I tried along the west coast but it cleared over that way. Eventually I went to the Quindalup boat ramp.

This was taken at Quindalup. From left there are three Yellow Billed spoonbills, a White-faced Heron, an Australian White Ibis, another Yellow Billed Spoonbill, a Great Egret, and another Yellow Billed Spoonbill.

I saw these pelicans on the foreshore at Quindalup today. The male seemed bored and stretched out for a while, then went back to sleep.

Yet Another Quindalup Boat Ramp Image! This must be the most photographed boat ramp in Australia. I was woken up about 1:00am by lightning flashes so I got up and drove down to the boat ramp. There was already a photographer there!
This is a second attempt following some suggestions by Mark Stothard. I reworked it from scratch with the intent of converting to B/W. (I removed the original version because of some errors – shouldn’t rush these things. I never seem to have time to do it right, but always have time to do it twice!
Quindalup Boat Ramp
Quindalup boat ramp this morning.
I went down to Quindalup this morning because there were some great clouds around – rain squalls etc. Unfortunately my camera had been in a warm house overnight, and once out in the air, I started getting condensation on the lens. It ruined a few of the shots, but I quite liked this one – almost a “classic” Quindalup boat ramp shot.

This is the jetty at the Quindalup boat ramp earlier this year. The tide was unusually low, creating the expanse of wet sand you see reflecting the predawn colors in the sky.
