Thank You

Today is the 9th of the month and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, I am the hostess and sent out a cute floral image from Taylored Expressions.  We received this set at Stamp Joy in 2023 for the Olo Marker mini-class with Lori Craig but there is not a name on the set.  I sent 2 die cut images along with one on a quarter panel, and the sentiment from the set. For November this is card #135 and we are now in year #12!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong for 12 strong years!  AND--we will be continuing in 2026 for year #13!

I colored one of the die cut images with my Copic Sketch Markers. I picked the Altenew 3D Embossing Folder called Crystal Wall for my background and die cut a layer from an Altenew Gradient Stripes Cover Plate to place over the top--both layers from white!   I used a stitched square die from The Paper Cut to cut the sentiment. I added some orange bling around the image.   I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of cute cards!  Jeanette is up for our December challenge, so please be sure to join us again.

Blooming Sunflower

Today is the day I am posting my card for our One Plus Twelve challenge in 2025.  This is year number 7.  For this challenge, we are to use just one stamp, to make a card every month and post on the 3rd of each month.  For this year, I picked a Gina K Designs set called Blooming Sunflower.  The set includes a sweet stamp set and matching dies for the image and all four of the sentiments.  I am excited that I get to use this set every month for all of 2025.

For my card this month, I stamped the image with Versamark and used Brutus Monroe Penny Embossing Powder.  I colored the embossed image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I then die cut the image with the coordinating die.  I picked a Pinkfresh Studio Ornate Rectangle Frame Die, which I cut from The Paper Cut's Cuba Libre Metallic Cardstock.   I added a embossed panel from an Altenew Crystal Wall 3-D folder behind the image and frame. The Birthday Wishes sentiment was embossed with the same Penny Powder and it is from the same set.   I added some Sparkling Champagne Pearls from Pinkfresh Studio around the image.

Please be sure to check out the other One plus Twelve posts to see the the stamp set for the 2025 cards that Kelly and Jeanette have created for October!  Here is a link to both Jeanette's  and Kelly's blog.  Be sure to come back on November 3rd to see another fun card.

Trying Altenew Acrylic Markers

Today is the day I am posting my card for our One Plus Twelve challenge in 2025.  This is year number 7.  For this challenge, we are to use just one stamp, to make a card every month and post on the 3rd of each month.  For this year, I picked a Gina K Designs set called Blooming Sunflower.  The set includes a sweet stamp set and matching dies for the image and all four of the sentiments.  I am excited that I get to use this set every month for all of 2025.

For my card this month, I stamped the image with Versamark and used Brutus Monroe Penny Embossing Powder.  I colored the embossed panel with a newer to me medium--Altenew Acrylic Markers.  I tried to wipe off a bit of the color over some of the embossed lines.  I then die cut the image with the coordinating die.   I used a Pinkfresh Studio Diagonal Stripes w/Window Die, which I cut from white and layered three times.  I added a embossed panel from a Stampin' Up Timber folder behind the panel for dimension. The Many Thanks sentiment was embossed with the same Penny Powder and it is from the same set.  I added some Sparkling Champagne Pearls from Pinkfresh Studio around the image.

Please be sure to check out the other One plus Twelve posts to see the the stamp set for the 2025 cards that Kelly and Jeanette have created for September!  Here is a link to both Jeanette's  and Kelly's blog.  Be sure to come back on October 3rd to see another fun card.

Floral Laurel

I am continuing making cards from the SCT March virtual event, Crop & Create. These 3 cards are from the Altenew class taught by Bridget Casey

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class.

This class used this stamp set, matching dies, a stencil set and 3D embossing Folder called Floral Laurel. We stamped the images, did ink blending with the stencils and used the embossing folder for all three cards. I really like the florals in this kit.  The sentiments are perfect for sympathy and thinking of you cards so  I am sure I will use this kit often in the future.

I have two more classes to go--hoping to finish in the next few days.

Briar Blooms from Altenew

This past weekend, I participated in another Pinkfresh Studio Event called Create and Connect.  I actually did some of the homework for a few of the 6 different classes and I was able to watch parts of 4 of the classes.  I posted the 2 cards I made from Yana's class yesterday.  These cards are from the guest company, Altenew.  Bridget Casey taught the class and she sure is a hoot.

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class.

This class by Bridget was so fun and she had some good tips on using this sweet bundle called One Go Briar Blossoms.  The set includes the stamp set, matching die, a 5 piece stencil and an embossing folder.  We used all 4 of the components on the cards.   This sure is a fun set and it has 19 sentiments with the theme of Congrats and Cheers!   I know I will use this set more in the future!

Next up is the class with Heather Hoffman and she uses the Pinkfresh Set called Pretty Blooms.  Stay Tuned as I hope to finish those cards and post in the next few days.

Eclectic Blooms

Today is the 9th and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, Kelly is the hostess and sent out this sweet image from Concord & 9th called Eclectic Blooms.   She also included a sentiment from the same set, but I used one of my own.  So for August, this is card #120 and we are at the end of year number 10!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong for 10 plus years and looking to go to 11!

I colored the Sweet floral image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut the image with a Gina Marie Designs In & Out Double Stitched Oval.  I then die cut a white panel for the background with a Stampin' Up Stitched Greenery Plate and used foam tape behind the oval for some dimension.  The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp sentiment pack. I added somme Studio Katia Lemon Burst Pearls around the image and a bow from Stampin' Up yellow yarn. . I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  I am up for our September challenge and the start to our 11th year!  Please be sure to join us again.

I Am In Your Corner

Today is the 9th and it is now time for another The Three Musketeers post. This round, Jeanette is the hostess and sent out the cute image from Gerda Steiner Designs called In Your Corner.  She also included a number of sentiments from the same set.  So for July, this is card #119 and we are actually coming to the end of year number 10!  I cannot believe this trio has been going strong for 10 plus years and looking to go to 11!

I colored the cute mouse image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  The stamped image was a bit larger and I die cut the "corner" and backer with a set of Gina Marie Designs Stitched Circle Dies.  I then die cut a white panel and another black backer with a set of MFT Stitched Tag Corner Rectangle dies.  I then embossed the white later with an Altenew Textured Hexagon folder.   The sentiment was cut with a Taylored Expressions Modern Label Dies and layered in black. I did not add any bling to this card. I hope Jeanette and Kelly along with you enjoy my card!

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is the link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  Kelly is up for our August challenge.  That will be out 120th monthly challenge, the anniversary of the end of our 10th Year!!!!!! 3-D Shine!

Today is the the 12th and it is time for another Hot Mess card. This card is #60, so we are now at the end of year #6. The idea of Hot Mess ~ Success is to Get Messy and you will have Success!  Messiness can be almost anything that we come up with--glitter, alcohol inks, glimmer glitz, sponged backgrounds, etc., anything that is a bit messy.  We are a very fun group and will post a card each month on the 12th.  The links to the other members are on my left side bar and I will also link them at the bottom at this post.

For this month's messiness, I decided to grab some Creative Expressions Pastes.  Darlene got me hooked on these a few years ago and I enjoy using them.  This time I picked Glitzy Green Luster Polish, Golden Glow Opal Polish and Purple Mist Metallic Gilding Paste.  Yes, they are all different "mediums", but they all play well together.  I used Basic Black cardstock and embossed the panel with an Altenew Playful Circle 3-D Embossing Folder.  I then used the three colors of pastes with the attached brush from each container and gently added color over the embossed dots.  The middle of each "dot or circle" is higher, so the entire raised area is not frosted! I thought this looks like more of a masculine panel, so I picked the Taylored Expressions Bold Birthday and Backer.  I added a strip of the same Opal Metallic that die cut from a Scallop Border by The Paper Cut.  I added a strip of the same Gorgeous Grape strip for a bit more color.  I did not add any additional bling.

I really like the look of my card and hope you do too.  There is a lot of shine and shimmer that is not visible on the picture.    I also sure hope my fellow messy ladies like it  too!  Here are the links to the other somewhat messy crafters:   Carol, Darlene, Jeanette and Terry.   I am sure you will enjoy seeing how everyone got messy this month and was successful in making some great cards!   Be sure to check back to see what we are up to in July as we will all be back for another round!

Feather Lilies

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 40th month, so we are in our 4th year!  WOW--4 years of making two cards with the same stamp from different companies each month!

Each month, we get to pick a stamp set from a predetermined company. Then, we will use that one stamp set and make two cards from the set.  Different images and sentiments from the same set can be used, or use the same image two different ways—Double Duty either way!  But, as an added challenge, one item must be used on both cards—same color cardstock, same ribbon, same stencil, same something.  Double Duty Again!  We will post both cards on our blog on the the 22nd of each month.  See-Double Duty again!  We will be sure to have fun getting doubly inky each month with a different stamp company.  Let’s have fun!

For April, the company is Altenew.   This company has such stunning florals and of course, that is what I picked!  The set is called Feathered Lilies and includes a stamp set, matching die, coordinating stencils and an embossing folder.  For my cards, I used a combination of all 4 of the items!

For the first card, I stamped the large lily image with black ink  I then used my blender brushes and Pinkfresh Studio ink cubes with the set of 3 stencils for pink lilies! I then die cut the image and layered on an embossed background where I used my favorite Stampin' Up folder called Subtle.  The sentiment is from the same set and I die cut with a Gina K Designs Master Layouts banner die.  I added a few Trinity Pearls around the colorful image.

For this card, I also stamped the image and ink blended with PFS cubes again, this time for yellow lilies.  I then ran it through the embossing folder, though you really cannot see the embossing.   I think I should have done the embossing on a piece of cardstock first, then ink blended with the stencil over the image, without stamping.  This image was layered directly on the card base, which I embossed the panel with a Stampin' Up folder called Exposed Brick. I also die cut one of the sentiments with a Taylored Expressions die.  A few yellow Pinkfresh jewels a placed around the image.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette'sDarlene’s  and  Carol's blogs.   I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Next month we will highlight Newton's Nook, a Wisconsin Stamp Company.  So be sure to check out our cards on May 22nd!

Enduring Beauty

This is my card for a swap called the SIS--Surprise Image Swap.   This is card #14 for our group.  It is a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The surprise part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--the 18th of every other month.   The image for this round was provided by Sharon!  She will swap the cards and include the new image for round #15 that Darlene will have stamped in each return envie. Then--we do it all again in June!  We have completed one round and now in toanother one!

Sharon sent everyone this pretty floral image from Stampin' Up called Enduring Beauty.  I also happen to have the bundle, that includes the stamp set, coordinating dies and a set of 5 stencils that they call masks.  So--I was able to use Sharon's image with my die and stencils.

I ink blended it by using 4 of the 5 stencils.  The inks I picked were Taylored Expressions Cupcake and Rose Water for the flowers and Peapod with Mint Julep for the leaves.  I did not use the 5th stencil as it used for the middle of the flowers if you just ink blend without stamping first. I die cut the floral image with the coordinating die and added foam tape.  I then die cut a rectangle panel from the Perennial Postage die set and then used an Altenew Embossing folder called Crystal Wall for texture.  The patterned paper is from a Stampin' Up 6x6 pack called Silver and Gold.  I added an additional layer of gold metallic from The Paper Cut behind the paper as well as a strip on top of the rectangle.  The sentiment is from a Pink Fresh Studio Foiled Sentiment package and I added some Stampin' Up gold sequins around the image.

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations.  The due date is today, the 18th, or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword SIS14 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Love is Kind

This is a card I recently made with one of my most favorite Stampin' Up stamps--Love Is Kind.  It is a single wood mounted stamp and I love the image!  I stamped it on The Paper Cut's Opal Metallic cardstock and it gives the image a bit of a shine.  It also looks a bit blurry as it did bleed just a bit, but that is okay. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch Markers.   I used the Taylored Expressions Frame in Frame die set and layered one of the frames three times from Rose Red cardstock. The background is a Altenew 3D Embossing Folder called Crystal Wall.  I added some Taylored Expressions Pearl Drip Drops.

I also used this same stamp for an upcoming challenge, so be sure to check back later this month!

Thoughts & Reminders

Here we are--this is the Double Duty Day!  This is the 35th month, so we are getting to the end of year #3

For November, the company we picked was Altenew. They make some really pretty floral stamps with matching dies and sometimes stencils along with embossing folders.  However, they also have some very fun sentiment stamps and I picked one called Thoughts and Reminders. I went with a very simple card to highlight the inspiring message.  True Confession------I have had these two cards done since early spring as I misread our monthly calendar.

I picked the colors of cardstock and then the matching ink for the sentiment.    I die each of the sentiments with Gina K's Master Layouts 2 along with the backer.   For both cards, I used an embossing folder.   I then added some bling for the final touches.

For the card on the left, I used a Sizzix 3D Art Deco Embossing Folder. The black and white colors are perfect for the sentiment.  I added some black Taylored Expressions Drip Dots in an arch in the embossed part of the background.

For the card on the right, I picked a Tim Holtz Brickwork Texture Fades Embossing Folder. This time to colors are monochromatic--Bermuda Bay and Cool Caribbean.  I added some colored pearls around the frame.

Again, both cards use an embossed folder and my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2. The star of the cards should be the encouraging sentiment, so just a bit of bling around the frame.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for our group.  Please be sure to check out the other Double Duty cards. Here is a link to Jeanette'sDarlene’s  and  Carol's blogs.   I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of sets of great cards.

Next month we are using MFT-My Favorite Things--should be some cute cards.  So be sure to check out our cards on December 22nd!
