Grateful

Today is NOT the 15th and I am very late with my card this month for our The Creative Crew!!  We are a group of 7--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit.  This month, Carol sent a sweet kit with the theme of Grateful with a tree image from My Favorite Things and a wonderful sentiment. She also included some sweet glittery paper and a piece of gold cardstock.

I colored the tree with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I die cut one of the sweet sentiments and a vellum backer with a Cottage Cutz Double Stitched Oval die set.  I picked one of the gold distress pretty patterns for the background and added bow made from gold twine.  Yes, November is the month for being Grateful!   This was a fun card to make.

I hope all of The Creative Crew Gals enjoy my card this month.  Please be sure to stop in to see what fun crafty cards are posted this month.  All of the blogs can be found on my left sidebar.  Our teammate Lorraine does not have a blog, so please check out her card in her SCS gallery.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the fun cards!

We will be back in December with a color and sketch challenge that Jeanette and I will provide.  Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun is planned!

A Heart Full of Roses

It is the 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For our June Challenge, Judy and Darlene are the hostesses. Darlene is a Dazzler and Judy is a Diva, like me, in line.   And we are all Dueling Darlings!  And, we have been doing this since August of 2010--so we are coming to the end of our 9th year!

The theme for June is A Hear Full of Roses! Roses are the flower of the month for June birthdays-and I know that as my mom's was June 1st.  Judy sent this sweet rose image from Inkadinkadoo.   She also sent some pretty patterned paper along with a variety of fun embellishments. This was fun card to make and I hope the other Divas thought so too!

I colored the rose image July sent with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I die cut the image and a layer of Pear Pizzazz with my Stampin' Up Labels Dies.  I added some of the green and pink sequins along with some of the pretty white ribbon.  The background embossed layer was in our kit and I added a strip of some of the pretty floral patterned paper.

Here is the inside of my card, with a sentiment Altenew stamp set Heartfelt Sentiments:

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.  Tracie and I are the hostesses for July, so be sure to check back next month.

There are a few members who do not have blogs: Suzy and LJ who are on the Diva team and Debby and
Terry S who are Dazzlers.  You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

Carol's Kit-Card #2

Here I am to share the cards that I have made with the fun card kits I received in January.  I was so excited to be the recipient of these snowy themed card kits in a swap that I am hosting on SCS.  I received 10 kits and I plan to make 2 cards from each kit.  That was my idea in 2018 and I succeeded--and I am pretty sure that I can do it again!   So--stay tuned as I will be making the wintry cards and posting all of them soon!

This is card kit #3, from Carol and this is my second card from her kit.  She sent this sweet snowman image from Stampendous called Warm Ears. I added some of my own sentiments on her two cards.  Carol also included some fun patterned paper by DCWV called Winter Frost along with many, many fun embellishments. I was able to make 2 cards and I posted the first card yesterday-check back if you want to check it out.

Be sure to check back to see the rest of my creations from this fun card kit swap in the next few weeks!

I colored the cute snowman image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I picked the shiny silver and blue snowflake patterned paper for my background.   I picked a Penny Black sentiment for this card.  The embellishments are blue and silver chevron ribbon and a few blue pearls!

Thanks for a great kit Carol--these were two fun cards to make!

Big Birthday Wishes

This is my card for June's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.

Suzy is the hostess this month and sent everyone this great birthday image for us. She also sent some patterned paper along with other cute embellishments.  It was a fun image to color up and I know that I will use this card in the future!

Here is the inside of my card, with one of the sentiments Suzy sent:

The Creative Card Chicks are to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations! Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  This is the first month of the new round.  Debby is up for next month so be sure to come back and join us again in July!

Newton's Candy Cane

This is my May-June card for the Christmas CraZy group on SCS.  This is our  second year of this fun group.  I am so happy that Pansy took over in 2018 for the group that Jeanette had organized last year.  We each receive a card kit from another person in the group and made a card with the image and papers sent.

This round, I was matched with Tracie and received a great kit with a cute Newton's Nook Designs image.  I think this image is just adorable!  Tracie also included some sweet patterned paper.  I hope that Tracie and the others like my card!

Since it is the 25th of the month, I thought it was a perfect day to post. It is only 6 months until Christmas Day!
