You Are So Loved

Today is the 15th and this is my card this month for our The Creative Crew!  We are a group of 7--Jeanette, Carol, Darlene, Lorraine, Terry, Tracie and me. Each month will be a new challenge posed by one of the members sending out a kit. This month, Darlene sent out a sweet image from the Gina K Designs stamp set called You Are So Loved.  She also sent some die cut sentiments and other die cuts from the same set.  Darlene also included some backgrounds--and one she hand made for each of us!  She made a heart panel with Simon Hurley's Bee Sting Lunar Paste over a Gina K Designs stencil and of course I picked that one!

I colored the sweet die cut arms image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I used different colors for each of the hands as well as shades of pinks/reds for the sleeves.  I then die cut one of the panels that Darlene had stamped for us with my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2 and added a black backer.  I then placed the die cut arms over the top of the coordinating one on the stitched panel. I die cut the heart panel with another die from the same ML2 and added a white panel  behind as a backer, though it is hard to see on the white cardbase.  I did not add any bling as I wanted the image and shiny heart panel to be the focus of the card!  I used the holographic panel on the inside of my card with a white layer for the greeting.  This was a very fun card to make!   I have this same set and cannot wait to play with it--yes, it is still unused..........

I hope all of The Creative Crew Gals enjoy my card this month.  Please be sure to stop in to see what fun crafty cards are posted this month.  All of the blogs can be found on my left sidebar.  Our teammate Lorraine does not have a blog, so please check out her card in her SCS gallery.   I am sure you will enjoy all of the fun cards!

We will be back in February with another challenge that Carol will sending out.  Be sure to check in with us on the 15th to see what fun is planned!

A Little Love

Today is the day I am posting my card for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 74th month of de-stash, so we are into our 7th year of challenges.  I cannot believe my thought about using what we have is now 6+ years old!   I really like these challenges and know they will continue as I know I have many, many items in my stash that I can use and love the fun challenges!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Jeanette posted our February challenge--My husband Brent and I celebrated our 40th anniversary earlier this month. The color for 40th anniversaries is Ruby Red, so let's make monochromatic RED cards this month. They do not need to be anniversary cards.

I first picked a sweet embossing folder--Stampin' Up's Bouquet of Love.  I then used a die set from Gina K Designs-A Little Love--and die cut the word twice and the backer once.  I picked Cherry Cobbler as my red for the card and added a bit of pink as the backer.  I added a few Pearly Petal Pink pearls from Trinity Stamps around the card.  I hope Jeanette likes my monochromatic-red-love card!

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days. There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSFEB.  You might see many cards there if you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For March, Sue is up for our challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create then!

Love One Another!

Here is my February Crafters of Faith card as we are continuing in 2020.  This is a great group that my friend Kelly started on SCS. and we are in our 4th year. Faye gave everyone this challenge:

Scripture:  Psalms 63:3-4 make a card to express your love of God.

Challenge:  February is often thought of as the month of love. I want to think of the love of God. Using this old hymn "The Love of God is Greater Far"

I thought this theme would make a good Valentine or card of Love.  I went to my bin of Our Daily Bread stamps and picked this set called Love One Another.  It is a cute image of intertwined hearts along with the great sentiment from John 13:34.  I colored the roses and ribbon on the hearts pink with my Copic Markers.  I even stamped the image with Stampin' Up Real Red instead of the traditional black ink.

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Faye along the others from the Crafters of Faith group like my card this month!  We are to post between the 7th and 10th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations.  I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too!  Sue is up for our March challenge, so be sure to check back to see what I create!

Sprinkle a Little Love

Today is the day I post a project for our Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 37th month of de-stashing-we are starting our 4th year into our challenges. I am posting a day early as I have another post tomorrow on the 28th.

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th.

Laura Jean posted our January challenge--Sprinkle a Little Love!

The background is an embossing folder from Sizzix called Hearts and they look to be falling from the sky! I went with a Whipper Snapper Designs image called Sending Love that I colored with my Copic Markers.  The sentiment is from the Critter Love Stamp Set by Penny Black.  Red Baker's Twine completes the card.

Here is the inside of my card.  It looks like the dots are pink and red--but it is two layers of red dotted washi tape that I layered so it looks like two colors!

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards in the next few days.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSJAN.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.  They probably will be posted today or in the next few days.  Remember, I am a day early, so they might not be posted until tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For February, Jen is up and has already posted a fun theme.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Final February Sketch-SC363

Today is the 8th week of A Card a Week Challenge. One card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month. January was Fancy Folds and February is using a SCS Sketch.  Every Tuesday, I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge.

Today I used Sketch 363 from SCS:

I inked up a PSX Stamp that I think is called Felt with the Heart.  I am not sure it has ever seen ink in the past.  I also used some of my recent favorite The Stamps of Life 6x6 patterned paper pack called Sweetheart Collection.  February is the month of love, so it is appropriate to end with another love card!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  February is over now, so no more sketches.  Up next for March is using the alphabet challenge on SCS, so please come back and see my cards!
