This week went with the works on tunics.
I am still in the mode of changing the colours of the kutchwork black yoke. The blue colour was changed to yellow. This project was restarted with changing the blue colour, somehow green preceded it. I have started with changing the blue on the other side today.

After filling with blue thread on this gold neckline, I started working isolated fly stitch variation with green novelty thread.

Some more stems were worked with chain stitch on this navy tunic.

Now that I am getting more friendly with my computer, I would like to post the details of the finished projects of this year.

New monitor was set up on Monday. Images copied from hard disk yesterday. Today I am organisng the folders.
Now for the works in progress in embroidery.
The old kutchwork yoke looked like this before I started removing the beads, sequins and changing the colour.

It looks like this now, the next step is to replace blue with yellow.

The front of the neutral tussar silk tunic is being worked now with zardosi beads, pearl beads and sequins.

The leaves and stems were worked on the panels of the cream silk cotton fabric for this cream chiffon tunic. Now the progress is on the flowers.

The neckline embroidery for the printed blue crepe tunic is quite slow, still started with the dark blue thread.

This past week was quite progressive, did some catching up with old UFO’s

This week was a productive one, stitch wise. I went to the mode of working on wearables a while go. There were so many ideas which were picked from so many places. These ideas have the tendency to vanish after a given time. The inspirations also kept on increasing, it became difficult to bring back the creative thoughts of the time when they started.
After deciding to put into form at least the ones which were fresh in mind, I started on the projects. It is an exciting experience, with my computer still in dormant stage, the projects seem to be grow.
While working on this week’s projects, my friend wanted to work a chain stitch with metallic thread around her blouse neckline, which was started yesterday.

This mirror work yoke technically got completed, still with the monitor to be set up, it is added in work in progress post.

After working green on this navy tunic, blue colour was started. Maybe I will work another green and then move onto blue again. This project will take more time than I thought.

This tunic is printed soft cotton with plain fabric for salwar. Certain cross stitch designs worked with white thread resemble lace. The idea seems good. But the designs will be bolder for this tunic. Designing work yet to commence for this project.

This yoke was worked few years ago. The colour looked good when it was worked, but didn’t feel good after it was completed. It was lying idle all this time. Maybe it will look better if the colours are changed. This work started with replacing light green with deeper green.

I have also been drawing some chikan work embroidery designs. Today found some patterns which were drawn last year. They look so different now. Some mirrorwork designs also there. Interesting week so far. The SSS challenge is having so many new stitches, if they aren’t learnt soon, I might get lost. Downloading pictures are also a problem now. The situation might improve next week!

Still the computer monitor is yet to be connected. Eagerly waiting for the big screen to work with. The old one was really slow. And had its own mind.
Started the mirror work on this combo tunic. The markings were not properly placed I suppose, have to rectify it.

The embroidery on this navy soft cotton started with green thread. This being Kashmiri embroidery, It is chain stitch all over.
Embroidery was started on this golden yellow fabric for the printed crepe tunic. The colours are chosen from the prints on the tunic. Silk thread is used to work the satin stitches in the centre.
Starting new projects was quite exciting. Some yoke designs were also drawn on paper for future projects
