If 2026 had a slogan for the Power, Energy & Infrastructure sector, it would be: “It’s AI’s world—and we’re just trying to power it.” We recently held our annual Power, Energy & Infrastructure Conference in which a few clear themes emerged from panels, one-on-one meetings and dialogues between leading investors and companies in the sector. Hear some key takeaways from three Mizuho Equity Research Analysts: Maheep Mandloi, Anthony Crowdell, and Gabriel Moreen below.

This year, colleagues across Mizuho Americas came together to support their local communities, contributing time and expertise to organizations doing critical work. Volunteering in the communities where we work and live is core to who we are, and we’re proud of the difference we made together. Projects spanned professional skills workshops, mentorship, donation drives, meal packing, lunch service, literacy and more — meeting vital needs while building skills, strengthening connections, and sparking joy. To our employees, thank you for your time, talent, and compassion. To our nonprofit partners, thank you for your collaboration, trust, and leadership in the communities you serve.

We’re proud to celebrate the community spirit of our Mizuho Americas team this holiday season! Through our annual holiday gift drives, employees came together to support outstanding nonprofits and make a meaningful difference for children and families across the US. This year, Mizuho staff participated in the NYC Service “Secret Snowflake” drive, donating approximately 1,150 gifts and fulfilling 700 children’s wish lists, and the Chicago Marine Toys for Tots Foundation drive, collecting nearly 100 gifts for children and teens. In addition, our team members across the US supported virtual drives benefiting Vogel Alcove in Dallas, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals Network in San Francisco, and Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, all of which provide vital services year round to their communities. Thank you to every community partner and Mizuho colleague who helped share warmth, joy, and hope this season.

The race for AI dominance is no longer decided by computing power, but by physical infrastructure – the substations, transmission lines, gas pipelines, and cooling systems that fuel large servers and data centers. For the Engineering and Construction industry, the buildout of large-scale infrastructure projects represents more than a short-term opportunity. Maheep Mandloi, Mizuho Senior Clean Energy Equity Research Analyst, explains that it’s the foundation of a multi-decade growth cycle as technology and industrial development converge.
