My name is Hal. I am multiplely addicted.

I am addicted to alcohol, from my first sip of beer at the age of 18. I drank for over 25 years, ending with a fifth of Beam a day, everyday. I am sober today by the power and grace of God at work in my life.

I am addicted sexually, from the first time I “discovered myself”. I acted out for over 30 years, ending in some very bad ways. I am sexually sober today by the power and grace of God at work in my life.

I am addicted to tobacco. I smoked for over 30 years. I am smoke free today by the power and grace of God at work in my life.

I also battle excessiveness in general areas of my life as well.

My road to recovery and victorious living includes time around AA tables, six months in the county jail, three different group counseling settings at a local mental health facility, and many accountability partners.

It is my desire to share my “tools” with others seeking recovery and victorious lives. Feel free to use those that work for you.
