Something Wicked This Way Comes – TONIGHT!

Join MDR Photo Studio as we celebrate Arcadia’s favorite holiday: Halloween. Tonight, October 29, 2009 at 7 p.m. SLT  at the studio! We’ll have spooky tricks and treats for all including raffle prizes and a free outfit! So put on your ghoulish best as “Something Wicked This Way Comes” rolls into the MDR Photo Studio Gallery.

This month’s Affiliate, Rara Avis, specializes in eclectic gothic styles ranging from sexy to intimidating.  Nineveh Teskat & Azriel Ballyhoo, the designers behind Rara Avis, will be partying with us and answering any questions you may have.  And, Nineveh Teskat will be spinning all kinds of magical wicked tunes to welcome Halloween.  Having been to one of Nineveh & Azriel’s parties before, I can guarantee you’ll be dancing your avatar behind off. Make sure you stop in and at the very least say hello!

The Ladies of Rara Avis will also have a FANTASTIC freebie gift for you to grab while you’re dancing the night away.  This outfit is brand new and as a special favor to our guests is being released in a special color that will never be available for sale. The ONLY way you can get it is to come to the MDR Halloween party and it’s free!  A sneak peek of this super sexy new outfit can be found on Arcadia’s Fashion 360° blog, so check that out as well.  However, we’re keeping the special color a secret, so you’ll have to come get one to find out what it is.  There will also be a special freebie outfit for the guys available.

We’ll be having a raffle during the party, and if you’re our random lucky winner, you will receive a 1000L gift certificate to Rara Avis and a gift certificate for one free photo by an MDR Photographer to show off the items you purchase with the gift card.  There will also be some other fun treats in the raffle ball for you.  You must attend to win though, so make sure you head over to MDR early.
 
Remember, the party starts at 7 p.m. slt.

Midsummer Party

Come join us for the first party at our new studio!
 
MDR Photo Studio is hosting a Midsummer party this Sunday at 6 p.m. SLT; the Release Your Inner Fae party.  DJ Bridgitte Boucher will be spinning an eclectic mix of tunes for all the fairies in attendance and we’re also kicking off a new program at MDR: the MDR Affiliate of the Month.  Each month we’ll invite one of our favorite stores/designers/content creators to the montly party and hopefully introduce you to some of the up and coming creators of SL.
  
The Affiliate for this month is Wishbox.  Wishbox specilaizes in fantasy clothing and costumes including fairies, sprites, nymphs, bellydancers, goddesses and period pieces of all kinds.  Oh, and there’s a little Steampunk Gothic Lolita going on as well.  Wisp Jinn, the talented creator behind Wishbox, will be at the party, so come and say hi.  She’ll also have a little freebie gift for you to grab while you’re dancing the night away.
