It’s all coming down! (Freebies).

The Christmas Deccies that is, a lifetime to put up a heartbeat to take down. I personally cannot stand starting the New Year with the decorations still out.  To me, this is the time to pack it up, sweep all the dust and glitter away and start the New Year afresh.  Since I’ve managed to get so much done I decided to take an SL break of course and pick up this nice and simple LBD(Little Black Dress).Sorry not sure now if there are 3 or 4 gifts under the tree as I grabbed and ran but I do know there is another more wintery knitted dress and I do believe a Catwa skin! My SL resolution is to finally stand still and sort out a mesh head and body that I can relate to and since Catwa seems to be a fav with my fav skin maker, PumeC, I’m going to go with that brand.

Hopefully, I will get back inworld later, I’m such a miserable sod I don’t do parties or drink but I do have lots of nibbles and 2 classic Bette Davis movies lined up and I for one will be snuggled with cats n treats, my OH is off to town with his mates.

New Year Resolutions, I’m going to start reading all those books I keep on downloading onto my Kindle, do more crafting and not just buy craft stuff to hoard, not to waste money so I can have more weekends away, got my gym sessions booked BUT ultimately the only resolution I know I will keep is to be more grateful for the small things and if I don’t get to post again later…BE KIND TO YOURSELF!

PS.  As always this dress comes in 4 mesh body fits and not mine but a standard style and although there is breakthrough at the back my hair covers that up….sneaky.

I bought this ‘n’ that but not the other.(Mini Sale@Kuro).

I popped inworld just for a mo but as soon as I read there was a bit of a sale going on at Kuro I had to check it out.

I bought this cos not only is it delightful and low primmed it only cost 18Lds, I have to confess that I think I already own it but I didn’t want to risk not grabbing it just in case and at that price even if I did I’ve not wasted much.

I bought this for the same reason as the first item.  A very unusual “vase”.

But I didn’t buy this, even though it’s super, low primmed and only 18Lds it’s simply because I just would never use it.

If you pop over to Kuro to check out the sale items you will find them in the small building where you rezz.  There are a few other 18Ld items in this small building and I’m tempted by a rather large and dramatic piece of modern art on the wall which I might just grab when I return to LM grab.  Not everything is only 18Lds so check before you buy plus the Gacha just outside the door is only 18Lds a pop.

PS.  Obviously, I’ve taken the pictures of the items in the shop as the sale is only on for a very limited time, basically 24 hours (till the 31st) so I didn’t want to waste too much time and just snapped away.

Aw no I was so excited when I grabbed this and then so disappointed when I found out there wasn’t a fit for my SLink body in the pack.

You do get the Maitreya Freya, Isis, Venus fits just not my SLink however as I always say you might have that mesh body or simply don’t use one and have an alpha which will work with this super gift.  You also get a really lovely 10 colour hud.

Because this like so many other gifts might be changed in a couple of days I would go ASAP but once you’ve grabbed this from inside of the Asteria shop go back outside.  I’ve blogged the excellent freebies and bargains that are actually outside of the Asteria shop before.  As you walk towards the shop the ones on the right are freebies and the ones on the left are cheapies.  When I have more free time I might just check again to see if there is anything new myself.

Again sorry for the MIA in SL, my OH is off work and is binge-watching all those box sets….it’s driving me mad.

Christmas that is lol.

OH Lord, I am beyond stuffed!

Sorry about not doing a proper Happy Christmas post but all was calm and then chaos descended into my life BUT it was good chaos.  So I had to log off SL for a couple of days and just go with the flow.

I’ve mentioned it briefly in a recent post that even if you’re on your own remember to be nice to yourself.  We think of Christmas as being “family time” but not everyone had a family or even if they do it not a family they get on with.  I know that I have posted this youtube video many a time but to me, it’s so true and poignant and even though I have enough family/Husband and friends to keep me happy I too have been alone and if I had seen this at that time it would have made me a much more contented person.

If listening to what she says doesn’t make you feel better then it is a new year soon and a new start for all and only we can assess what is good about our lives and also what needs to be changed.

Anyhow for me, I think that maybe it will be a struggle to get inworld tomorrow but I would like to if I can but I can assure you that the craziness that is Christmas will be over in a couple of days for me and the calm, boring, normal day to day stuff will return.  Till then stay strong.

Yes & No.(Freebies and Cheapies).

First the Freebie.  Sorry but branches for horns is just one of those things which aren’t my cup of tea but these are pretty decent and in the dark, those lit bits really light up and people do love them.  I picked them up from a shop that is new to me or should I say a “sim” as this home and garden shop is spread all over a whole sim so when I get some SLing time I’m going to have a nice wander around.

There is another GG out for us at the Love Home LM which are stars for you to scatter on your land or wall.

“The Cookie Jar” Christmas Market, where I picked up the wreath, is neat and tidy little event so if you’re short on time then it’s a nice little pop over and since all the freebies are on the table at the LM then it will take you even less time but I did have a wander around and spotted this super wreath for 50Lds which is just my cup of tea.

I actually haven’t had the time to open any of the Freebies so I have no idea of whats there but there is plenty of them to ensure you find some keepers. The wreath is on the DD (Dreamland Design stall) and I said it cost me only 50Lds and is 3 prims.  I actually love Hellebores and have them in my RL garden and as soon as I spotted this it was in the bag as we say.  What you can’t see is that it does come with a delicate sparkle but there is a copy of it on the stall so you can check it out for yourself.  My only grumble is that it’s non-mod because after Christmas I’d like to keep it up and it would look better without the bow.

PS.  GIVE BLOOD! Ok, I’m not after a pat on the back or anything because it was only a couple of years ago that I finally decided to man-up, or woman-up, and go give blood.  Yes, it’s 2 pricks (they prick your finger for a drop to test for iron first) and pricks hurt! BUT it’s nothing, it’s a couple of seconds of “ouchie” and especially at this time of year when people are busy doing stuff the blood banks run low.  AND at the moment in the UK, they’re so short of O & B Negative blood that if you have this blood type you can just walk in, you can do that in any case but it’s better to make an appointment, and they will DRAIN YOU as they’re desperately short.  So check out the nearest blood donation service to you and just go because one day it might just be YOU who needs that donation. PS They give you biccies and a drink afterwards so it’s not all bad.

Another event with oodles of freebies and not a single bit of clothing to show you!

This is just for the bag, which is from the Petit Chat shop and the LM takes you to that shop.

That was me last night at a big shopping center, only with jeans, flat shoes, a coat and a harassed look on my face but with great hair.  The “Black Shop & Hop Event” as you can see is laid out just like a big shopping center and almost every shop has a giftie which takes me to the bag.

No close-up but it’s a great leather bag with a holding pose.  As you can see from the sign behind me there are some well-known brands here.

FREEBIE! Woah, a delightful Victorian gazebo/bandstand etc Really lovely texturing and you can have it with or without the snow and I can’t remember the exact prims but without the snow it was very low with the snow a lot higher. Without the snow, this will do all seasons and is a  really nice gift.

Paid for this but only 49Lds as it’s such a good prop for our sim.

I often buy things but don’t show you unless I think they’re such a good buy or in this case not only a great prop but a bargain.  For that you get the tree wrapper, those bundles of wrapped trees and the tree’s to the left of the picture are inc as well.  All low primmed and copyable.

This is a nice sized event  and although I can’t, at the moment, tell you which shop each item comes from the event is big enough to have a lot of interesting stuff but small enough that you can have a pleasant time just walking around grabbing the goodies, maybe treating yourself to something, unpack sort it out and still have time for a coffee before lunch.

Speaking of which I’m off out for lunch myself and if I have time when I get back I will get the details of which shop each item came from and I’ve picked up a few LMs for the main shops of some of the shops at this event as I want to check them out as well.

Nothing inbetween.(Freebies n Hunt).

Thanks to the heads up from one of our reg readers I decided to start what looks like another AMAZING Christmas Hunt that has just started but so far I’ve only just scratched the surface and not really found anything yet.  I can see from the list of shop names that there is going to be a total mix of quality goodies for us to find.  So instead of making you wait for me to show you any hunt prize I win, I will put the link to the “Christmas Holiday Hunt” blog where you can get all the LM’s and even better, hints and do it yourself at your own time and leisure.

You will also see from the blog that each shop also has a special discounted item out and I will admit that I snapped up the Belle Epoque one….I’ll let you see that for yourself when you go hunting for the prize.

Although the ChiChica shop is also in this hunt these next 2 items are the gift under the tree for everyone.

Big fat baubles! How often do I do earrings?  Rarely because I just don’t wear them but how could you resist these dangling down.  Made me chuckle and I will probably keep them in for a while.

In the same gift box are these shoes.

OH YESSS! Fabulous bling! It seems a long time since I last found a really good pair of shoes and so I was pleased I left ChicChica early to check the gift out but obviously as soon as I get back inworld I’ll be popping back to hunt down the prize because I’m GREEDY and I need to find something to wear in between earrings and shoes!
