A seasoned tarot reader’s reflections on crafting a purpose-driven business that aligns with your authentic self while creating practical pathways to success. This journal entry explores how to envision your ideal practice, set meaningful goals, and create a strategic roadmap for the next quarter that honors both your intuitive gifts and business necessities.
Dear Tarot Journal,
Today, I reflect on the beautiful, winding path that brought me to where I am after three decades of reading tarot professionally. When I think back to my earliest days—much like where Renae is now after completing her Biddy Tarot certification—I’m reminded of both the excitement and uncertainty that comes with those first steps.
Envisioning My Tarot Business
The foundation of any successful tarot practice begins with clarity of vision. I’ve learned that our visions evolve, but starting with intention creates powerful momentum. Today, I contemplated what truly matters in my practice:
My purpose has always been to empower others through a sacred connection with the cards, helping them navigate life’s crossroads with greater confidence. This “big why” sustains me through challenges and celebrates my highest moments.
My ideal workday includes morning meditation with my cards, three significant readings with clients who are ready for transformation, an hour of content creation, and ending with reflection and gratitude. I’ve crafted boundaries around my energy and time that honor my intuitive gifts and my need for restoration.
Creating Meaningful Goals That Resonate
Success in the tarot business looks different for each reader. It’s never been solely about income, though sustainable prosperity matters. Success means creating transformative experiences, building a community of seekers, and continuing my spiritual development alongside my clients.
Looking at the year ahead, I’m focusing on four key goals:
- Deepen my specialized Celtic cross methodology through additional research and client work, establishing myself more firmly in this unique approach.
- I plan to expand my community offerings by hosting monthly virtual circles where seekers can gather and learn from each other’s journeys.
- Develop a signature course on intuitive card reading that honors my approach to empowering clients to develop their relationship with the cards.
- Nurture my spiritual practice to ensure my readings remain grounded in authentic connection rather than technique alone.
Mapping the Next Quarter (October-December)
For this final quarter of the year, I’ve created a money map that honors both practical business needs and the more soulful aspects of my work:
Goal 1: Launch Holiday Special Reading Package
- Create a “Year Ahead” unique reading offering
- Design beautiful gift certificates for the holiday season
- Develop a mail sequence announcing the special services
- Schedule social posts highlighting testimonials from past year-ahead readings
Goal 2: Host Winter Solstice Tarot Retreat
- Finalize retreat curriculum focusing on shadow work and renewal
- Open registration with early-bird pricing by 15 October
- Create workbook materials for participants
- Schedule weekly promotion touchpoints
Goal 3: Complete My Intuitive Tarot Guidebook
- Finish writing the final three chapters
- Work with editor on manuscript refinement
- Design card layouts and visual elements
- Create a pre-order landing page
Business as Usual Activities:
- Maintain a weekly newsletter with seasonal insights
- Continue the twice-weekly social posting schedule
- Host monthly new moon tarot circles for existing community
- Completed client readings with thorough follow-up care
Finding My Authentic PathOver these years, I’ve discovered that the most successful tarot businesses aren’t those that follow rigid formulas but those that authentically express the reader’s unique gifts. Your pathway, Renae, will be uniquely yours, informed by your intuition, your experiences in Singapore, and the particular wisdom you bring to your readings.
The business structure should support your gifts, not constrain them. Let your inner wisdom guide your external actions, and watch clients who resonate with your authentic expression find their way to your table.
With cards and courage,
A Fellow Tarot Traveler
