reflection 9


pada minggu ni kami telah melakukan perbincangan serta dalam proses menyiapkan video tugasan kami. perjumpaan diadakan di PTSL. pelbagai perkara baru telah saya pelajari antaranya cara mengambil video supaya menarik, bagaiman mengedit sesuatu video dan bermacam-macam lagi. segalanya berjalan lancar kerana masing-masing menjalankan tugas-tugas yang telah diagihkan. selain itu, daripada perjumpaan tersebut saya juga dapat megeratkan lagi hubungan dengan rakan-rakan yang ada diantaranya selama ini kami kurang rapat dan jarang bertegur. tugasan ini telah menjadikan kami lebih mengenali antara satu sama lain.

minggu ini saya telah cuba untuk siapkan tugasan kulit buku saya. walaupun agak sukar kerana baru mempelajarinye, tetapi bagi saya ia sangat menarik untuk dipelajari dan saya harap saya dapat menggunakan pada masa akan datang.ini adalah kulit buku yang telah saya cuba lakukan, walaupun kurang menarik, tetapi saya tetap mencuba yang terbaik kerana saya betul-betul baru mempelajarinya. saya akan cuba memperbaikinya pada masa akan datang.

kelas pada minggu ini dibatalkan kerana ada sambutan hari maulidur rasul di masjid ukm. walaubagaimanapun kami tetap meneruskan tugasan individu kami iaitu membuat poster/kulit buku.

reflection 3


walaupun tugasan yang diberikan agak menarik, tetapi saya agak kabur mengenai apa yang perlu dilakukan sebenarnya. walaubagaimanapun, setelah berbincang dengan rakan-rakan, barulah saya faham apa yang perlu dilakukan. kami melakukan tugasan ini dalam group yang agak besar kerana ia akan lebih memberikan pelbagai idea yang kreatif serta berkongsi-kongsi idea. saya dan rakan-rakan sangat gembira melakukan aktiviti membuat tugasan ini bersama-sama. daripada perbincangan awal kami ingin menangkap gambar pemandangan pada hujung minggu tetapi atas beberapa kekangan yang dihadapi rancangan tersebut tergendala. oleh itu, kami telah berbincang untuk mengambil gambar dan video tersebut dalam masa terdekat ini dan akan mempamerkannya di laman ini.

pembelajaran dan pengajaran dari internet. ianya adalah satu kemudahan yang sangat penting dan berguna khususnya kepada para pelajar dan pensyarah di institut pengajian tinggi. cara pembelajarannya juga mudah, cepat dan pantas. oleh ituu, seharusnya proses pembejaran seperti ini diperluaskan dan dipermudahkan untuk kegunaan para pelajar. saya sendiri sangat gemar cara pembelajaran di internet daripada membaca buku yang tebal dan membosankan. pada pendapat saya, sangat wajar jika cara pembelajaran daripada internet ini diperluaskan kepada para pelajar disekolah dan masyarakt umumnya kerana proses pembelajaran yang berlaku dapat disampaikan dengan jelas dan menjimatkan masa.

i) technology

define :

1)the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and   technical means and their interrelation with life,
society,and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied sciences, and purescience.
2)the terminology of an art, science, etc.; technicalnomenclature.
3)a technological process, invention, method, or the like.
4)the sum of the ways in which social groups providethemselves with the material objects of their civilisation.
concept :

Technologies significantly affect human as well as other animal species’ ability to control and adapt to their natural environments. The human species’ use of technology began with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools. The prehistorical discovery of the ability to controlfire increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans in travelling in and controlling their environment. Recent technological developments, including the printing press, the telephone, and the Internet, have lessened physical barriers tocommunication and allowed humans to interact freely on a global scale. However, not all technology has been used for peaceful purposes; the development of weapons of ever-increasing destructive power has progressed throughout history, from clubs to nuclear weapons.

Technology has affected society and its surroundings in a number of ways. In many societies, technology has helped develop more advancedeconomies (including today’s global economy) and has allowed the rise of a leisure class. Many technological processes produce unwanted by-products, known as pollution, and deplete natural resources, to the detriment of the Earth and its environment. Various implementations of technology influence the values of a society and new technology often raises new ethical questions. Examples include the rise of the notion ofefficiency in terms of human productivity, a term originally applied only to machines, and the challenge of traditional norms.

ii)education

define :
Education could be seen as wings for the progress of the human being. It helps the individual to attain intellectual, physical and spiritual or emotional progress. In some ways, it helps the individual to live a happier life. For people without education, living comfortably turns difficult, especially in the modern world where specific skills are often needed to work. Besides, education is real wealth. Understanding how the world around us functions produces happiness, a kind of happiness that does not disappear. True education dignifies the individual.

concept :

Education not only creates a better human being but also contributes to the tranformation of society. We are summoned to take forward our community, village, city, State, world. But to get that we need tools. The tools to improve the world are not fighting ideologies, or weapons –as many have tried thorough history- but knowledge, sciences, arts. Those tools empower the people who sincerely want to see a more just world. Further more, the paradox that we find our selves happy when we forget our own self and focus on the wellbeing of other is true. Working to improve the society through the tools education provides, helps us to develop our own capacities, and brings us peace and tranquility, although that is not the motive.

iii) Instructional Media

define :

Reiser and Dempsey (2007) define instructional media as follows: “the physical means via which instruction is presented to the learners” .  This includes textbooks, videos, computers, and having an instructor physically instructing a group in a classroom.

concept :

There are normally two types of training media within a learning program. The first is the instructional setting or major media. For example, you might have your learners go to classroom training for 2 days or have an elearning program delivered to them. The second is the delivery systems within the major medium. These are the various instructional methods that take place within the instructional setting. In the two day class you might have several types of media, such as lectures, videos, programmed instruction, coaching, etc. Another example is an elearning platform with several types of media within it, such as videos, readings, and simulations incorporated into it.

Note that it is not unusual for a medium to carry another medium as in the above examples. McLuhan (1964) gave the example of a television (one form of media) carrying the spoken word (another form of media) of the thoughts of a person. The second medium, the spoken word, can change to best deliver the message, for example rather than speaking the person can draw, act, or write the message.

iv) Instructional Technology

define :

Instructional technology is just what it sounds like: using computers, CD-ROMs, interactive media, modems, satellites, teleconferencing, and other technological means to support learning.

concept :

Instructional Technology is feared by many faculty members and administrators, as an alternative to human resource. However, the technology is just to aid the efforts of human beings. Thus, the human element will always retain its importance, no matter how developed the technology is. In fact, many e-learning tools facilitate the interaction between students and experts, even if they are geographically distant from each other.

Hari ini merupakan kelas pertama saya dalam teknologi pendidikan. walaupun sudah masuk minggu yang ke-5, apabila masuk kelas tutorial inilah baru saya mengetahui mengenai subjek teknologi pendidikan ini. pada sangkaan awalnya, saya ingatkan subjek ini agak susah dan merumitkan, tetapi tidak sebenarnya. lagi pula saya berada kelas tutorial dengan Dr Rosseni yang sentiasa membantu dan memberikan dorongan kepada pelajar sehingga sesuatu tugasan yang sukar menjadi mudah. kami diberikan penerangan mengenai tugasan yg perlu dilakukan. pada mulanya saya agak keliru dan tidak berapa jelas mengenai apa yang diperkatakan, tetapi saya pasti saya kan memahaminya memalui perbincangan bersama rakan-rakan kelak.
