Rockhopper Finding Guide

Rockhopper is someone who everyone wants to meet, but is annoyingly hard to find. Out of all the servers on Club Penguin, of all the rooms and times when Rockhopper could be on, it’s almost impossible to find him! But here are a list of ways that you can try to find Rockhopper:

Rockhopper has a number of favourite places including the Dock, Night Club, his ship of course (all levels) the Cove, Pizza Parlour, Plaza and the Iceberg. Why? Because these rooms can hold lots of penguins before they’re full. Rockhopper will never go to HQ or other people’s igloos, and because the town is so busy, he won’t stop there either, but he may walk through.
Rockhopper loves to go on full servers. Mammoth, Frozen, Mittens, lots of the full servers on the left side of American servers, and, for us Aussies – BIG SURF!! But this doesn’t mean that Rockhopper won’t be anywhere else – sometimes he surprises everyone by going on a less popular server!
Rockhopper can either be run by a moderator or a robot, so he could be on at different times on different countries. Try servers in other countries and different servers to your usual ones, because he might be anywhere, anytime! Also, lots of penguins seem to be on around 5:00pm Club Penguin Time, so Rockhopper likes to go on at that time. (This time is morning for Australians, probably around evening for Americans).
If a server is unusually full, there might be a good chance that Rockhopper is there. Have a look around.
When you think you might be on the server that Rockhopper is on, try the ship. This is where Rockhopper starts, and is the most common spot for him to be found. It’s also where people go when they’ve heard about Rockhopper, so if you see lots of people in the rooms wondering where Rockhopper is, chances are Rockhopper was just there.
If a room’s full, there might be a very good chance that Rockhopper is in there. Try to get in there a few times, but if it is absolutely hopeless, wait in one of the rooms or places beside it. Rockhopper usually walks from room to room, without using the map, so the penguin parades can keep up with him, so be on the look out if he comes out!
If, on your server, everyone (and I mean EVERYONE, literally!) is yelling “ROCKHOPPER!” it may mean that that cheeky pirate is on the server somewhere! But don’t be tricked – penguins are always faking Rockhopper being there. Basically, if it’s unusual, it could be it!
You know you’ve found Rockhopper in a room if there is a huge crowd of people, calling out ROCKHOPPER (duh!!). Also, Rockhopper is easier to find in the crowd because he is slightly bigger and wears the same hat and beard every time. (See below for a picture).
As you know, on Club Penguin there is a cheat to almost everything. And yep, you guessed it – there’s a cheat to finding Rockhopper! In the normal log in box, type in Rockhopper and a 5 + digit password. If he’s “banned” he isn’t on, but if it is an “incorrect password”, Rockhopper is online somewhere!
Just have a look around. Sometimes it’s good if you can get a friend to help you search all the servers and places with you, so it takes up less time. Most of the time, though, finding Rockhopper is just luck – you could spend three hours searching for him, and keep missing him. So, come on at different times of day, different servers and countries and have a look around!
