Saw these guys play last night at ICA, bloody great! A shame that Londoners are semi-frigid and can’t dance without being properly liquored up (it was a semi-early show, you see), working up on a buzz to just let the looped soundbites & lovely synth move your body into a personal frenzy. ——————————————–

Sunday Classics
Easy sunday listening. Work, what work? I just finished a paper on Nazis, sex, eugenics, & the use of bio-power within media screens. It all makes sense, don’t worry (not like you’re actually worried in the least). Doom and gloom papers are a keen specialty of mine. So refreshing to remind yourself of humanity’s woah’s and eeeeep’s…. It’s beautifully sunny outside. After all this cypress mind mellows I’ll just gander to the flower markets and then build some rage in the bricklane market. Ohhhh to live in Whitechapel. Ohhhhh sunday.

I happily stumbled upon this video and was immediately filled with an indescribable twisted glee. Perma-smile plastered on my face each time. It’s just “YES!”
“A story of blissed out gnomes who have the ability to distill sunshine and bottle it. Provoked by haters, the gnomes go to battle with goblin buzz killers. After a dip in sunshine juice the goblins are soon doing the happy dance.

Systemic rage captured within a confined space. Two cocks. One blue. One red. rad.
Depending on whom is watching this video it can be considered beautiful or highly horrifying. I’m on the beautiful side of things when it comes to evaluating this one. zZz is a drum and organ duo hailing from Amsterdam with a sound that seems like a mix of different genres from new wave to indie rock, but all adds up to a big pile of awesome.

menomena is a fairly glorious band with some nifty videos. ‘evil bee’ is no exception. i saw these guys play last year at pat’s pub…they make me want to play the triangle in the middle of a frost covered street, or frolick in unknown places. either or, i like it.
