Business value is a complicated equation. Saving money is one important component, but value can also be measured in terms of productivity, efficiency, job satisfaction and customer service. We people are so ambitious that we don’t just settle for less but instead we settle for the best in the most comfortable way. Way back many years ago when Alexander Graham Bell invented the first telephone and it is still wired but come to take a look at it now, people rely on their Smartphone etc.

Have you asked yourself recently why you bought a wireless service? Well I guess most of you will say, it is for convenience and you’re in to “what’s new”.

The aim of wireless technology is simple: to remove the restrictions of being attached to expensive and messy wires and cables, both inside the office and out. Wireless technology carries the capability of wired networks to spaces that cables cannot. Those are the reason of the wireless inventors. We are in the era where we want to reach as much as possible everybody. With the use of Wireless Technologies it allows as us to increase our connection and keep in touch with our client even they are miles away. This would increase your revenue and expansion of the business. I guess the important guideline and reminder is discipline and aprropriate usage of the service.

Being a business minded person, you need to be open to changes. What you currently have may not be available tomorrow so you got to take risk. A lot of people said that “The higher the risk, the higher the success you’ll get”.

Nowadays, Outsourcing is known to everyone and a lot of BPO’s are sprouting all over the place. They were great contributors to the employment rate to our country. While observing the number of companies starting to grow, I asked myself what made them decide to outsource their business. IT security is very essential in any organization. It is the lifeblood of the company in keeping the business up and running. In my own opinion, I wouldn’t risk outsourcing my IT security. Here are my reasons why I’m not in favor of outsourcing IT security because this might create issues. One would be the risk of leaked security or essential information of the organization. Once these data are stolen, you can never get it back so it’s a very important decision to make. Second would be Loss of Control. When you hand over security to another company, it means you will have to accept the terms they propose. For example, when outsourcing I.T security, the provider decides the security software and hardware to run in your company. Changing such software would be breaching contract with the managed security service provider. Third would be Loss of Quality. You can’t say always that what you have will be maintain forever, it takes constant practice to perfect what you are doing.

Security costs are among the most expensive in modern businesses. Most businesses are looking to cut costs and increase returns and outsourcing security goes a long way in achieving this. Although outsourcing tasks such as call handling or cleaning is easy, outsourcing security can be a risk or costly if not done properly.

Can you imagine yourself “Life having no computers”?  It is very hard to imagine a life without computers – particularly if you happen to be running a business.  Computers, on the one hand, make tasks so much easier:  the filing, the sorting, the organizing, and the retrieving of paper information seems to take an age compared to pulling up a web page from your Internet browser.  On the other hand, computers can make life so much harder:  the freezing, the crashing, the viruses, and the ever-hovering threat of identity theft.  Computer systems are indispensable but tricky, and they often require an entire crowd of specially trained people to operate them successfully. With the fast growing technology, every organization is now spending capital just to cope up with the latest innovation and to have an edge with other competitor, this is why Information Technology (IT) department was created.

All organizations uses information technology to store data and information. They need management information systems people to manage these systems to run the business efficiently. Here are the 3 most important skills needed by managers in order for them to participate effectively in Information System decisions that I was able to identify are Technology Skills, Analytical Skills and Interpersonal and Managerial Skills. Technology Skills because companies nowadays uses information technology for various purposes, and the job of Manager will be to manage these systems for them to be most effective. If you enjoy learning about technology and using technology to improve people’s lives, it would be easy to cope up with the fast pace of technology. Analytical Skills since most people uses technology to improve business processes, you should know how to analyze business processes as well. You should know how to identify inefficiencies and problems in the processes and assess what are the required information needed for the success of the project. Then you come up with solutions that deal with these inadequacies. Last would be Interpersonal Skill, remember that a job requires working not only with technology and systems but also with other people in the organization. This calls for communication and interpersonal skills. And you need management skills to put into place the changes needed to improve the information systems. This calls for management of time and resources. In addition to seeing the big picture, you need a lot of attention to detail in managing information systems. This are just but a few skills that a manager should possess and these 3 skills are very important for the success, this does not focus only with the behavioral aspect but also concerns about innovation.

Many people are saying “Change is constant in this world”, and no matter what you do it is inevitable”. Just like technology that is now making a big mark in the history.

First, Let us all travel back from the olden days when we still have birds as means of communication. Just try to imagine how long does it takes before the receiver received the message. Now we have smartphones to use every time we want to send message to someone miles away from you. I cant imagine that during my elementary days, I used Nokia 3310 for calling and sending sms which only few can afford to buy at that time but now there are a lot of phones that can beused as radio, mp3, and  for gaming stuffs. Not only that, with the different applications that you can download for free, you can now see and talk to someone anywhere around the globe. Indeed these technology plays an important role in my life and that I need to take considerations. It’s making our life easier and comfortable. I can say that I am also dependent with my gadgets. In this globally competitive word, everybody wants to be in of what’s new and what’s in. With the fast pace of growing technologies, I sometimes ask myself “Do I really need this?”. I work in a company that has the Vision of Mobilizing the world of their customers. And all the things that are impossible, were made possible. I guess it’s just a matter of dedication of making things happen.

But along with these great innovation comes with it’s own risks. Risks that sometimes we neglect because of the satisfaction that we are getting from the technology.  Just Like a medicine, though it can cure pain but it also leaves side effects. We should not let ourselves be blinded of what best it can give but also look at the long term satisfaction and safety.

Lastly, I would just like to leave this message for everyone to ponder “Everything has it’s own pros and cons, and too much is dangerous” So enjoy what the technology offers but keep in mind as well the benefit that you’ll be getting before making further actions.
