When Kevin, vice president of non-acute sales for our U.S. Medical Products and Distribution team, received a Stage IV lung cancer diagnosis, his life changed in an instant. What followed was a journey defined by grit and determination. In early 2024, persistent back pain led to an original diagnosis of pneumonia with treatment and no real relief. After months of searching for answers, Kevin was diagnosed with Stage IV non-small cell adenocarcinoma. He endured an aggressive treatment plan that combined immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and eventually surgery to remove half of his left lung. Before his diagnosis, Kevin competed in ultramarathons and triathlons—always supported by his wife, young sons and family. Just 12 months after surgery, he returned to competition, a remarkable testament to his strength and perseverance.
