Tired of hearing “new year, new me”? Us too. The pressure to reinvent yourself overnight is overwhelming and unrealistic. Real change starts with self-acceptance, not harsh self-judgment. Here’s to a new year focused on kinder, more sustainable growth, without the pressure to become someone new.

In 2025, we met rising behavioral health needs head on. More ages, more conditions, more timely access, and measurable results. • Serving more ages: We now care for clients ages 8 to 64, with adults representing more than half of our population. • Treating more needs: We launched dedicated programming for eating disorders and substance use disorders. • Geographic reach: We expanded to 39 states to increase access in communities with limited services. • Access for underserved communities: Medicaid coverage rose to 35%, and representation among Black clients increased year over year. • Earlier intervention: A growing share of referrals are coming from outpatient practices, signaling earlier identification and support. • Outcomes: Clients across all ages reported significant reductions in depression, anxiety, self harm thoughts, and suicidal ideation. We are grateful to every client, clinician, provider, and partner who helped make this possible. Here’s to another year of providing life-saving care.

Last week, Ohio Outreach Managers Sydney Deems and Annie Burke attended the Ohio Prevention Conference and had the opportunity to connect with prevention leaders and community partners doing meaningful work across the state. At Charlie Health, we support those navigating substance use disorders, eating disorders, and mental health needs. Conversations like these are especially important during the holiday season, when stressors can intensify and access to timely care matters most. The holidays can be a lot for many people at work. End-of-year deadlines, fuller calendars, and added responsibilities can make it easy to put your own well-being on the back burner. A few reminders we’re sharing this season: • Small resets matter. Even one minute of slow breathing can help you reset. • On tough days, stick to the basics that support you. One real meal. Water. A short walk. • Lean on people you trust. You don’t have to do everything alone. • It’s okay to protect your energy and say “not tonight.” • Know where to turn if stress starts to affect your sleep or mood. These small choices can help you show up more steady, focused, and supported through the rest of the season.

Our Florida Outreach Team joined UF Health Neurodevelopmental Pediatric Center for their “An Evening with Santa” event in Jacksonville. Families connected with local agencies, played games, and took photos with Santa. Florida Clinical Outreach Managers Amber Wilson and Madison Wentzel attended to share resources and strengthen community relationships.
