Automated lipid nanoparticles (LNP) can look straightforward until you need the same result, run after run, across a full screening campaign. We hear a consistent pattern from pharma teams: hitting particle size is achievable, but pushing encapsulation efficiency to 80%+ proves more difficult. And the settings that improve quality can introduce real constraints, like overflow or inconsistent injections. Even when analytics look promising, biological activity remains the benchmark. We design microfluidic interfaces around liquid handler realities, then validate repeatability across devices so teams can trust the workflow, not just the best run. As we wrap up 2025, we’re thankful for every team that chose to build with us. Whether it was an early exploration build or a program milestone, it’s been a privilege to support the work you’re moving forward. We’re heading into the new year with expanded capabilities and an upgraded facility. While we complete the move, production will be paused through January 2nd. Planning a Q1 project? Send a CAD file, sketch, or a requirements note here: https://lnkd.in/euy-KjSf. Happy holidays from all of us at Parallel Fluidics. We’re excited to keep building with you in 2026.

We're proud to share that Parallel Fluidics was featured in a peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics (Cambridge University Press & Assessment), one of the leading journals in theoretical and applied fluid dynamics. The paper introduces a new analytical framework for modeling flow and diffusion in microfluidic polygonal mixers, and validates it using a mixer chip we fabricated through a collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Why this matters for LNP and nanoparticle workflows: • Mixing history shapes outcomes. Small changes in flow and diffusion can drive large differences in particle size distribution, uniformity, and performance. • This work makes mixing behavior in real geometries more predictable and reduces reliance on expensive simulations for every new design. • It creates a more direct connection between mixer design choices and particle outcomes, moving teams away from trial-and-error. This publication reflects something important about our process: production-grade chips from day one. Our microfluidic devices are robust and precise enough to support fundamental scientific research and model validation alongside commercial development workflows. Congratulations to the team: Etienne Boulais, Aniket Udepurkar, Cedric Devos, Martin Bazant, Allan Myerson, and Richard D. Braatz. If you’re building or refining a mixer design for LNP or nanoparticle work, let’s connect. We’re here to help you get predictable, repeatable mixing without losing time to avoidable iteration cycles.
