Let's congratulate Kristin Seel, who has just become our newest Professional Engineer in New York State! Kristin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo in 2015 and joined PDG in 2017. She has been an essential member of the Civil Group in our Buffalo office since then. Recently, Kristin has served in a Project Manager role on site development projects for OGS at the Harriman State Office Building Campus and New York State Fairgrounds, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Buffalo, and the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester. As a Professional Engineer, she will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and extend her technical leadership to a wider range of clients. We’re proud to announce that A.J. Gartland is now officially a Registered Architect in the State of New York! A.J. joined PDG in 2022 after completing an internship with us in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture with a Sustainability Concentration from Alfred State College. His dedication, hard work, and passion for design excellence are reflected in the projects he has worked on, such as the City of Rochester Durand Eastman Park Beach House and several school districts. This accomplishment marks not only his professional advancement but also his ongoing commitment to creating meaningful, well-crafted spaces for our clients and communities. Join us in congratulating Andrea Hunt, our newest Professional Engineer in New York State! Andrea joined PDG after earning her Master of Science in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural and Earthquake Engineering, from the University at Buffalo in 2017. She has been an integral part of the Structural Group in our Buffalo office ever since. In recent years, Andrea has transitioned into a Project Manager role on key projects for Stony Brook University and Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection. Congratulations to our talented Canstruction team on their win last night! "Lego Spaceman: The Final CAN-tier" was selected for the “People’s Choice Award” at the Canstruction Rochester Awards Banquet. Over the weekend, members from our Rochester office took part in Canstruction Rochester’s build day at The Strong National Museum of Play. The theme for this year was Cosmic Conquest: Rise of the Cans. The PDG team created LEGO Spaceman: The Final CAN-tier using approximately 1,500 cans. Blasting off from Planet Pantry, this Spaceman isn’t just space-bound; he’s SOUPer committed to exploration! Outfitted in a retro-futuristic suit made from repurposed soup cans, he's the ultimate mix of astronaut and intergalactic tin man with a mission, ready to conquer the cosmos... one canned good at a time. This hero doesn't just explore the galaxy; he stocks it, shelf by shelf. Visit our creation at the museum until October 25th, after which the food will be donated to feed those in need throughout the community. Christian has successfully passed the Professional Engineering (PE) Exam and is now a licensed engineer in New York State. Christian joined our Buffalo office as a Senior Structural Engineer this year, bringing 20 years of experience to the team. The PDG team concluded the summer with our 4th Annual Golf Tournament earlier this month at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY. The event brought together 73 employees, divided into 18 teams, for an afternoon filled with laughter and friendly competition.
